Lincolnton @ South Point......let's hear it!

I've already watched the SP film once from the Crest game .....they are BIG and VERY VERY PHYSICAL.....our DL will have their hands full with the SP run( rb had 40 carries against Crest) they try and keep you honest with some roll out passing as well. Our Wolves offense should handle business as normal...limit our penalties and execute properly we'll be fine....should be a good game this early...can't forsee a blowout either way....

Asheville gives Burdette incredible first win

After being down 21-0 in the first half and struggling mightily to adapt to their new offense, Asheville High beat Franklin by outscoring the Panthers 29-7 the rest of the way. I know multiple people who turned their radios off and a couple of guys were on their way to the exits in Franklin before the comeback began. I was on the other thread ready to jump ship already. While this team is not as talented as some teams in years past, they showed some major heart tonight to be able to come back down 21 points in a place like Franklin. It sounds to me like this offense is the complete antithesis of what we have seen from Asheville the past 16 years. After watching how pathetic and apathetic Asheville was last year, its refreshing to know that those guys dug deep when things were going horribly to pull out a win in a hostile place against a very good team. Some people are/were not sold on the spread and some people are, but the good thing about the spread offense is you can make up big deficits when you are a passing team. In years past, Asheville was not built to come back from big margins. The I formation and being a power running team certainly has its benefits, as does the spread. Devon Davidson had a hell of a game after he was really let down early in the 1st half by his receivers who dropped damn near everything. While we were lucky to escape from the pit with a win, I'm very happy to see how the players responded and handled the adversity.

W Rowan 12 Mooresville 8

Mooresville struck first with a 67 yd bomb on their first play from scrimmage but missed the xp. WR tied it up right before the half and thats the way it stayed until the fourth quarter. An errant snap on a WR punt rolled out the back of the end zone to give Mooresville a two point lead. A furious rally and a long pass play placed WR inside the Mooresville ten and with a little over a minute left they scored to take the lead for good. Mooresville plays at home vs Hough next Friday.

East forsyth vs Tabor

East forsyth struggled offensively, the starting QB managed to get 13 points in three quarters

Late in the fourth quarter the back up QB entered the game and was able to get a touchdown and field goal in 7 minutes time. The back up QB will take over as starter next week at the east Forsyth away game. The Eagles looked a lot better as a unit behind the back up.

INDY?

Why as this program fallen so far? Obviously, no one could ever sustain what they had forever but they seem to be at a point where they can't compete with good teams. I will be in Dallas next week to see Hoover and Allen, TX but I expect INDY is in for another demoralizing defeat in the BURG.
