Yeah guys I hadn’t been around since the NL Hickory game on these posts. Missed yall though. Hadn’t even seen an EB girls BB game yet and for good reason- they too good. Sad to say that’ll come to an end after this year maybe but this year Ain’t paying money for a blowout ha ha. But hey I’ll get on down there when or if they play North Wilkes. Those country bumpkin gals up that way seem to be the real deal. They took Freedom. EB girls had to fight for that Freedom win both times. Be an even matched heavy weight fight for sure come 3rd or 4th round.

Seeing the Wingate to Maiden move, I bet the blue devil faithful is cutting cartwheels. I can see him doing damage in a Maiden uniform. 50 lbs heavier, 3 pr 4 inches taller, 75 to 100 lbs more on the squat rack this kid would be Tyler Shatley all over again. Shatley was one of the main reasons EB beat Maiden in 07’ which woulda been the 1st only and last time, just saying

Girls Basketball 24/25

I was at the Watauga/ South Caldwell game and Kate Sears flat showed out. She played one of the best games I can remember for a girl in a long time, on both ends of the court. With Watauga leading at the end, she finished two possessions in a row with beautiful passes for layups-the first was a nice no look and then she followed that with a flawless behind the back. If she plays like that the Lady Pioneers will be hard to beat.

7A/8A Conference C

movin’ from 3A to 4A for WC gon shake things up for sure, kinda like what Weddington did. They got them bigger Average Daily Membership (ADM) numbers, so they might come out swingin if they keep that flow and build on what they got. Now, bout North Meck, you got it spot on with their talent pool. It’s messy seein such a dope squad not reach their full potential, especially with all them players jumpin to other schools in the Charlotte hood. With big names like Myers Park and Independence in the mix, it’s cutthroat out here, but feels like North Meck got the pieces to step up if they just keep their homegrown talent in the fam. Just check how many North Meck players shinin at other joints; it shows their program tight but also shines a light on the struggle to keep things stable.

Stuart Cramer HC Position Open

If he was cussing at an individual player, I guess that is reason to remove him. But if he was cussing while addressing the team and trying to get them fired up, seems like that should not be a problem. I'd be surprised if a lot of coaches don't do that.
Peeps gotta know the difference between cussin at one player and pumpin up the whole squad. Coaches be usin that fire talk to hype 'em up, makin it all feel urgent and focused. Take my favorite legends like Bill Belichick or Nick Saban—you know when it’s crunch time, like before a big game or in the locker room, the vibes be electric, and them players feed off that energy. It’s all about connectin' with the team, showin you give a damn 'bout the W just like they do.

It’s real that fams be grindin for better chances, whether it’s ballin, book smarts, or just gettin involved in the hood. Fact is, programs be switchin it up to pull in the talent, and yeah, it can get messy for some, but that’s just how high school sports be rollin now. The Surratts’ story shows how transfers can lift up a whole community. They was killin it on the field while also helpin out in the books and makin friends. They vibes with teammates brought life to the school, showin that transfers ain’t just about sport skills; they bring that neighborhood feel and teamwork. Take that linebacker from Lincolnton, his move shows how this can be a game changer not just for the player, but for the squad too. It’s straight wins all around when both the player and the school come up together, ya feel me?

I'm not sure too many people really love kids moving and transferring but it's where we are at. Not sure we can go back anytime soon. Some counties have more open policies than other. Not sure what is right or wrong.

Kids and families want to generally have better opportunities. If that means transferring or moving, it is what it is. This lastest 🧩 for the big bad Boom Devils is for football, spin however, homecoming whatever. It's the world we live in.

Other schools have benefitted to, Lincolnton has an absolute stud LB, I believe he started at Foard his freshman year. Not sure the reason behind him and other foard kid leaving. Foard football is rough.

Still not sure where the Surrats lived.

This stuff has happened and will continue to happen.

Teams need to be more open about instead of crying and living in the past.

😀

Wild to think the Wolves have a high level D1 basketball player and football player right now. Awesome to be honest.
From what I understand the two “Foard” kids played youth football in Lincolnton until middle school. Both parents are LHS graduates, uncles, cousins, etc. Regardless, families will have their reasons to make the moves that they make and we as fans can speculate and pick at it all we want, our opinions do not matter. It’s not every day that a small 2A school has a top 25 basketball player in the country and top rated football player in the country that are in the same class. Regardless of the school affiliation this is a major win for our area.

Go Wolves.

Tarboro non-conference schedule hot off the press…

If there ain't no real matchups, fans ain't hyped and players ain't seen. When games ain't close, folks stop showin up and the energy just ain’t there. But when teams like Tarboro go up against the big dogs, you can feel the vibe, and the crowd rolls in thick. That boosts ticket sales and snack money, plus it brings that community pride that keeps the season alive. Plus, them competitive games is key for showin off talent. Recruiters wanna see them standout plays in real challenges, not in them blowouts. Folks get tired travelin for bland games. I suggest hit up local rivalries that sparks some real fire for players and fans both.

@GrizzlyDevil was it justified? Hard to see on live streaming?
He was sitting between the coaches and the sub desk, where all or subs came in and out from. At that time in the game, Maiden player rebounded and was calling a time out as he was being fouled. Whistle blew, mass confusion as to whether it was a foul or timeout...I looked back from the "foul area" under the basket to half court near the sub desk and the Maiden kid was running on the court and ran into one of the refs.

The refs huddled then clarified that there was a foul on Lincolnton before the timeout and then a Technical on Maiden for the player that ran on the court.

As much as I hate it, it appears to be the correct call. I don't believe the kid properly subbed in...was probably overly excited since we had the ball with 4.4 left...and running on the court into a ref caused the technical.

I hate it for him...I'm sure he'll catch grief till Monday.

Excellent ball game. I missed the first two...glad I caught this one. Both these teams should have deep runs.
