You're really reaching if you believe CMS is going to set up systems to prove something like that. Not happening. Just Curious! What measures could be taken to prove that family members were communicating with head coaches about him transferring to their school? That cost money.

For the most part yes. There could still be some kids that live in the Burns district, but are closer to Cherryville. That kid would be able to choose which team he wants to "tryout" for.

With Cherryville moving their base school, it is really effecting several teams. Both Gaston teams will lose players to Cherryville. Lincoln County not having a legion team is surprising. There is good baseball being played in that county, and they could put together a good product on a legion field. Cherryville hasn't been up to their standards lately, so from their standpoint, it's a brilliant move.

I'm willing to bet, Lincoln County will eventually try to start a team up again and that will make things very interesting.

Again, the county AD came in threatening jobs and whatever else she could. Yet this is still happening. But, like you said, they are doing a good job.

What capacity is a HC meeting with parents? In most instances the parents are reaching out to the coaches directly or through trainers. Most of these staffs have asst. coaches that are also trainers. You can almost lineup youth ball/trainers/MS/7v7, to HS teams in Charlotte.

"Trainers" running make believe 7 v 7 on Saturdays and Sundays that only select rising 9th graders going to a certain school get invited to. Afterschool weight sessions where kids are directed towards a school. Trainers discussing depth charts at their school and others. Parents group texting MS kids. Alumni telling players where to go. That's more of an effect than any HC. How do you stop that? What can the CMS AD do to stop that? Agree that HC should not actively recruit anyone's players. Talked with a HC in CMS and he directly said he couldn't talk about his team/program unless the student was already enrolled. So if a HC is doing that its a noteworthy risk.

West Stokes should be the cream of the crop. West has a lot of college talent, they should run away with the conference. The measurements that are posted of WS on social media are awesome. They should cake walk to the title, based on measurements. However, the games have to be played. Notice I said should. High school athletics do not always go as they should. I know some are going to say that I am hating (MA fans), but I am just basing my opinion on what talent West has. Conference will be a dog fight. Best of luck to all.
