I personally know of 5 current HC's that were terrible at the previous school and are still terrible at the new school. Then you have the good old boys network in some counties also. My guess is there are some quality candidates that are an OC/DC at some successful schools, but they may not have that HC label on the resume and get overlooked.

Absolutely. Lots of ADs/Principals are scared of what they dont know, and will look to familiar faces. Some of the schools on that list need a complete overhaul. Sadly, most will hire retread coaches or someone they went to school with over a young man from a big time program.

Click the link and look at the new school that this place has just built. It was already the newest school in Randolph County and had nice facilities and space already. While other traditional schools need major repair, replacement or rebuilding. UCA and other charters get this! Privates getting vouchers in the 100's of thousands pulling kids from these schools. Just a shining example of our tax dollars being funneled to these types of schools instead of taking care of others that have much bigger needs than a new building to replace an already new building.

WOW, Mount Airy has been in the same building for 73 years this year. It was built in 1952 but has slowly had some major improvements over the years, and these private and charter schools have all these newer schools.

Grimsley vs Rolesville 4a Title

with all the talent that Rolesville has I could not believe that they lost like this. Rolesville I thought was the most talented team in the state. Again I think its one of those places that you can win even more so that they are in the east. So Rolesville has made it twice to the title game both times they were no match for the opponent. In both cases coaching was lacking. With what the new alignment looks like maybe Rolesville can get one in a watered down weak classification.

it pretty much gives richmond 2 non conference matchups. take hoke county and pinecrest and you would have 4 non conference matchups which is the way its supposed to be
