Big game of interest here. Hickory is undefeated and Cox Mill is 1-2. Cox Mill is 4A but not the team they were last year. I wouldn’t be surprised Hickory will pull this one out. Any thoughts.

Second straight week Forest Hills is facing a team they've never played. Don't know much about them. I know they've had pretty decent team the last few years going 10-2 last year. Forest Hills has looked good this year definitely better than last year especially on defense. Last night's game should have been more lopsided. Offense had too many penalties but still a good night. Didn't rack up many yards because we started most of our drives in Walkertown territory. Walkertown was desperate to just get a first down last night on our defense that they actually went for it on 4th and long inside their own 20. This week could be a better game maybe.

Both teams are 2-1 and should be a good one. Ironically Cardinal Gibbons of N.C. played a team from Fort Lauderdale Fl by the name of Cardinal Gibbons and lost 28-21. Any thoughts on this game.

Any thoughts on this game. I look for the Wonders to get back on the winning track.

I heard S . R. wanted Kannapolis back on their schedule for financial reasons. And people in both communities wanted them back playing each other again.

It's been a tough season for McDowell as they are winless. They did show signs of life against Tuscola as they were tied at the half. They are also bringing some players up from JV. Avery has also struggled. This is a good chance for McDowell to get a win.

Pender vs Wallace Friday night I think wallace might find themselves in a dog fight

Mount Airy is averaging 54.33 points and zero points against them in 3 games against 2A teams, Ashe is # 1 in their Northwestern 3A/4A conference but only had 1 tough game against Wilkes Central an 0-2 team winning 33-30. The other 2 were North Wilkes 0-3 & West Wilkes 1-2. Ashe County has a point record of 121-30. That is the past and things could go Ashe County's way at Mount Airy Friday night . But the question is will Mount Airy come out with a 4th game with zero points scored against them ? Go BEARS 🏈🏈🏈 ! ! !

Not sure what the outcome will be in 2023 1A NCHSAA 🏈. Alot of good teams in 1A especially the West. It's early but looks to be a collision course for Robbinsville and MA. But other good teams in hunt like Thomasville,Draughn,Murphy, Swain, Flatlanders to name a few. Good luck to all and stay healthy. Much respect to all team mentioned. Any given night anyone can be beat and Bears fans know this from experience.
