Clinton welcomes Nash Central to Dark Horse Stadium on Black Friday for 4th round playoff game. I’m not sure if the two have ever met if anyone knows please provide the details. Watch Nash’s game vs Hertford County one thing that stood out is the speed of their 2 RBs Jones#5 and Rogers #19 both 1,000 yard runners. They both run hard and have tremendous speed once they get outside on you. I won’t be too hard on they defense considering they went up against one of the most high powered offenses in 2A football last night Rodgers definitely put it on em but HC’s WRs and RBs were lightning in a bottle they don’t get mentioned as much as Rodgers but they deserve some praise aswell.

For Nash seems like it’s all centered around the RBs but the sophomore QB has thrown for close to 1,000 yards. Looking at their schedule the 2 losses on their record came from two very good 3A teams one who’s still playing defending 3A East Champ Northern Nash who won a thriller vs Scotland last night. So the Bulldogs are definitely battle tested a very solid football team from what I can tell definitely not a team to overlook.

Clinton handle business Thursday night ending Southeastern Alamance’s Cinderella run. Everyone wanted to see how Clinton would perform without star RB/WR Josiah McLaurin and the team silenced any doubt as it was business as usual. It was good to see Josiah Robinson back on the field he looked fresh.

The one common opponent between these teams is Beddingfield who Nash defeated 35-18 Clinton defeated the Bruins 56-15. I’ll stick to what I said earlier this season when I said I just dont see a running team beat us this year Nash offense will have to complete passes cause the rushing yards will be few and far between vs this stout Clinton front 7. Defensively like i said above I’m not going to hold that performance from them last night against them giving up 68 is bad but previously the most they gave up was 49 to a really good Northern Nash team. Any thoughts or predictions????

Last time these team played was in the 3rd round 2 years ago and it was a shoot out. Robbinsville was down 35-21 going to half and Robbinsville came back and won I think 50-47. Are we gonna see another shootout. Will Robbinsville stop the highflying offense or can North Rowan stop the ground and pound? What is everyone thoughts

I would have loved to see this match up in the 5th round. But no, we have to see another rerun of teams the board loud mouths support. ..even in the east. I was hoping to see something different.

11-1. Back to back GM4 titles. It’s hard to really complain about that on its own. But…. Here we are.

Arguably the best collection of talent we have had since 2011… but yet… nothing to show for it. The same result as the last 12 years. If this was a one off thing… I get it. But it’s a pattern now. And the issue is the same as it’s been… offense.

This defense was top notch. But the offense just didn’t change… and progressively got more predictable as the year went on. And we don’t adapt or change what we do.. others figured that out.

I don’t try to be overly critical… because I think our staff as a whole is good. But it’s 2023 man… not 1993 or 2003. Our talent has surpassed the old school traditionalist philosophy Mooresville has always done for decades (this isn’t new). We need to wake up and realize what used to work… isn’t going to be able to carry us anymore. And that we actually do have the talent in key positions to be able to adapt! We have to become more creative. We have to be less predictable.

And more importantly… idc how long we have played a team traditionally (looking at you west Rowan) we have to build a non conference schedule that forces us to grow… not allows us to
be complacent.

If there is one thing I learned this year being in the fan base, and it was VERY evident last night with the energy in the stadium… this city is ready for more. This city is hungry for more. And now, this city expects more. The status quo isn’t cutting it for people anymore.

WOW, I haven't been able to sleep at night all week but catch a little sleep during the day during the week. It is an all-football season thing this year I hope. Usually once or twice a week but for the last 3 nights this week. My daughter-in-law's dad died and a lot on my mind. He was 3 years younger than me. I have known of a lot of people who pass away during the holidays. My Mom and Dad passed away between December 5th and March. I know in my mind I will go in the winter months as my Mom and dad did. If I have offended anyone on her this year, please forgive me. As BUZZ says I just try to have a little fun at times and mean nothing bad against anyone. BUZZ I think a lot of you from the first time I met you at your tailgate and I brought pizza. Sportsnut17 we will meet at a game sometime. I am just not good at getting out around people. This will be a good one! Tarboro dominated SHHS in what was a pretty sloppy game. It was a shutout but the offense wasn’t clicking like normal! East Bladen comes in off a pretty impressive win against Rosewood(Was kind of hoping Tarboro would be able to get some get back against them). Tarboro will be prepared & ready to go! Of course I have Tarboro for the W by 14 points!
