AL Brown vs South Iredell

My struggling Vikings will be going to AL Brown with no conference wins so far. AL Brown is better than their record shows. AL Brown has started out fast scoring wise and I think they will continue doing it as well. South should have a better year next year and I look for them to do even better the year after.
As for JV, I think this will be a very good ballgame. I’m planning on going to the JV game if nothing happens. Any thoughts on the game

This Week
South Lenoir @ East Duplin
North Lenoir @ James Kenan
Southwest Onslow open

Game of Week
Wallace Rose Hill @ Kinston
I don't really know if this is considered a game of the week, it should be, especially with all the talent that Kinston has. Jk was up 42-6 in the 4th on them Friday night. For some reason Kinston just wants to pass the ball, and hardly ever run it. This will be the Bulldogs last tune up before clashing with the undefeated, defending ECC and 2a State Champions at the Dog 🐕 Pound. Wrh 66-8

My Picks
ED 70-0
Jk 56-8

Good luck to all teams!

Top 10 teams in WNC regardless of classification

Asheville Citizen Times used to (maybe they still do but their coverage sucks) of the top 10 teams in WNC. This included McDowell, Rutherford and all the counties directly west (and a few north) of there. I only include public schools.

Here is my top 10 as of October 9-

1. Reynolds
2. Roberson
3. West Henderson
4. Robbinsville
5. Murphy
6. Pisgah
7. Swain
8. Mitchell
9. Mtn. Heritage
10. Brevard

Simmons Ratings - Week 9

Running a bit late again this week - sorry about that. I'm busy like everyone else. Last week was a great week for the Simmons Ratings - 87% of the games were picked correctly with 46% of the games both with the correct winner and within 8 points on the final margin. Check out this week's power rankings, game picks, scores, standings, and more:

Overhauling of the NCHSAA by the NC House

https://www.highschoolot.com/story/...erhaul-nchsaa-senate-gives-approval/21060920/

Not sure what the after effects may be of overhauling the NCHSAA. I think NC can be potentially opening a Pandora’s Box. Definitely not a fan of putting almost all control in the hands of political appointees no matter what political party they represent. That always ends up bad at some point. Doing all of this in the middle of the night speaks volumes also. We will see…

p.s. Here’s the rub. It seems in NC we have many that scream for smaller government with less regulation but many of those same people support government expanding into high school sports and many other areas when it suits their needs. The irony.

Thursday Games

Edgecombe County has a planning day this friday, so our game this week will be played on Thursday. There hasn't been word from SWE yet, but county policy is that no after school activities take place if there is no school that day. County rival Tarboro has already confirmed their home game will be Thursday, so it's pretty much a given that the same will be for us.
Any more Thursday games?

That’s 14 but I believe their kicker is the #4 kicker in the state of GA. So I’m sure he will be getting good offers. As far as the comment from the other post, I really was encouraging you to dig into their roster, not making a smart comment.
