First of all this is a Clinton football thread if you don’t care to read about Clinton football well you clicked on the wrong thread.

Just some positive things happening around the program this offseason

-Amaris Williams college announcement will be Aug 16th 2pm in Clinton Gymnasium
-Josiah McLaurin adds Virginia tech to growing list of offers
-Cory Johnson selected as assistant coach in upcoming East/West game.
-910 Classic slated for May 6th with over 30 colleges and 200 athletes attending.
-Youth football camps scheduled for May 11th, June 15th, July 13th.
-Clinton Mustang Travel football 12U and 14U started this spring to help develop the next generation of football players in Sampson County on and off the field.

Coach Johnson and Company are doing a great job with the program. Can’t say enough about what they are doing not only for current young men on the team but the youth in the surrounding areas. Lots of good things going on at Clinton right now looking forward to the season.

What is the new schedule looking like for the area schools this coming year? I know for JK besides the usual conference opponents I saw Midway sandwiched in somewhere....I heard Whiteville.as well but I love to see what the schedules look like this coming year for Clinton,wrh,Ed,jk, and any other area school...

Wow wrh got the gauntlet this year with those three hovering on their schedule... Clinton got a rough one too wrh, Lumberton,whiteville, Princeton...all four can be up there in the nchsaa ranks this year... With the new realignment I been hearing about a Tarboro Clinton match up could happen in a few years... It's very possible they could be in the same classification...

He was/is a good coach but he had some talent. Nic Cooper best RB (stat wise) Clinton ever had. Brian Williams played saftey he was really good. They had talent, lots of it.

Only head scratching moment I bet Coach Mallard regrets is the call to go Shotgun inside the 5 at NS-Jax with his stud RB horsing his offense down the field, then boom ball snapped over the 5’9 QB’s head, ball game.

He has done a good job. He's doing all the things that you would expect a young coach to do, but as Jim Harbaugh said, you are treating him like he hit a triple when he was born on third base when it comes to this job. Jobs like Clinton, WRH, Reidsville, Shelby,etc... are going to win 80% of their games no matter who the coach is. The question is can those coaches win the big games? Sounds like the issue is the poaching of other players to try and win those big ones! Time will tell what his legacy will be. Get your popcorn ready!

Who is downing a team? Are you drunk already on this Monday? Said it was a hype train as Clinton is every year..... Agreed with the guys comment. If ones opinion doesn't match yours, you lose your shit. Must be your generation young buck

I feel the need to clean 91’s post a little. Clinton football is similar to the Cowpies and dook basketball. Always has big time talent but hasn’t delivered the rings lately. This is the year!😳

This was a thread simply pointing out some positives going on in the off-season. This ain’t a Dallas Cowboy “This is our year” post Like I told 91 you don’t want to read about Clinton don’t click the thread. Thanks

It’s like the CCC thread I don’t really care to read about those teams but I’m not going to click on the thread and post some BS on their thread about hype train and other BS simply because it’s some posters talking about their teams.

Yeah I guess talking bout positive offseason subjects is only limited to certain teams. Don’t worry won’t hear nothing else about Clinton football from me atleast. Enjoy. Best of luck to your respective teams this season.

Hearing that is fantastic. I believe you have as much, if not more, enthusiasm, charisma, and understanding about Clinton football than anyone else, so I know it will be a terrific season. I can't wait for football to begin!!!!
