CVAC 2023 - Week 9

…East Burke will scare the bejeezers out of those Wolves. Ole Lincolnton will walk a rut in the ground pacing about nervously chewing his finger nails as the Wolves pull it out with seconds to spare!😂
No one in this conference wants to play the Cavaliers. The Wolves will gut it out and win a very close game.

The last two games with the Cavaliers I paced until I was give out. Wish I had a reason to believe this game will be different, but I don't. Oh, if only for a reason to believe !

Lincolnton over east Burke at this point I'm about ready to pick west Caldwell over East Burke 😂😂..
Newton and bandy's I have a feeling this turns out to be the game we thought maiden and bandy's would have been. Honestly neither play defense so could be 106-100 😂😂 honestly a toss up game. Gonna take bandy's.

You know, if NC Preps gave an award for brotherhood I wouldn't hesitate to nominate our man AMD. Please consider his post, above. In five short lines he manages to insult half of the CVAC. I call that talent, no other word would fit... Oh hey, I got it ! "Posters without borders award". What ya think ! Not a team in the entire conference (except Maiden) he hasn't reached out to, so he could poke them in the eye, that is. Your very good AMD, and don't try to be modest, don't you do it. you're very good, you ! Lot of class there buddy, lot of class.

He used to just blurt out insults, now he's took up wit and sarcasm...There was this BS master back in antiquity who wrote a book called the Art of Rhetoric. If you're ever caught with a copy of it they should throw you into the Mamertine, and leave you, cause you'll drive us all crazy.

Some more of my 2 cents. I’m trying to lean away from excuses. Excuses sound more like well if this woulda happened instead of that or if we had this guy this wouldn’t happen or that. Y’all get what I’m saying. Our injuries have set us back, big time. Guys that said it before I’ll say it again, shoes that will not be filled cause these starters that are injuried are special in what they do. And that they are seniors except maybe 1, it doesn’t help our cause. EB will be competitive next year, but they won’t be as good as what this year coulda been if the ones injuries were in the game.

Am I gonna say if he was in the game or this one in the game we woulda won? NO, not saying that. But bet your bottom dollar the score would look different in this way or that.

Just the fact EB still played competitive and dangerous without all those starters speaks volumes. Just to be a comedian on this l, this years EB would be like a kid that just stacked a beautiful set of cards then the door slams cause whoever came in the house then the cards fell. I mean yeah it’s been bout like that LOL. The weapons are in place at game , then afterwards, just wasn’t meant to be. But Lincolnton game- the Wolvkes won’t have their way. They’ll earn it. Maybe even an upset if EB limits the mistakes.

I don't know about this statement. Being competitive and capable of winning are completely different. I'll give you WL and BHHS, but the rest have only been competitive at best. But I agree it is a competitive league with top heavy contenders like WL and BHHS this year. Maiden, NC, Lincolnton are all playing for 3rd place and will not beat WL or BHHS this year. Yes, they have been or can be competitive, but they can't win vs. these two teams. I also think Maiden will lose big Friday night, barring any weather issues, and will lose to Lincolnton and/or NC. But that is why they play the game. Best of luck to all and if I'm wrong, I will be the first to admit it.

I’m trying to decide on what place to eat tomorrow before the Bunker Hill n Maiden game. If the game was at Maiden, I know of couple places to go to. I probably find something around the Statesville area before coming down 1-40.

I was just laughing at the 2 in a row thing. It’s good the jvs are perking up and players coming together. Looked like a hard fought game based on that score.

What’s your thoughts on Vue? For me, I thought he did good against BH considering being young(soph), 1st varsity game according to a fan beside me and inexperienced at the high level and against the best CVAC team. We will soon find out tonight if that’s the case on the best CVAC team. I’d be tempted to attend but no game tonight, hands are tied lol. BHBear12 just be sure to throw up a clap for me when cheering your team on. I’d be tickled pink to see em win for the first time since…Bush Sr was President. Had to name something that was going on around that time lol.

I hadn’t followed QB position at EB closely over the years mostly cause I hadn’t followed the team hard when they were super down and losing bout every game with big margins not to mention we are a run run run offense but a soph QB seems to be a rare thing at EB. Prob only a handful of those ever in our school’s history. He will get better I’m sure. Only flaw really I saw in the passes was he didn’t have a bullet to em’. Floated and gave the D time to get under it which for BH that was easy considering how fast they are on defense. At least they look like they floated I dunno ha ha. But he’s def our QB now and bright future ahead for this position.

If Lincolntons run D ain’t as good as BH, and Vue and the WRs has had a good week of practice this could be a better game than the nay sayers might think. It’s gonna be who wants it more.

Box Car Grille is right off I-40 at the Claremont exit.

They have the best salad bar in our area…plenty of good eats too.

Also EB had a recovered fumble run for a TD on the last play of the game called back by you guess it block in the back!!! Seen where the other Fraley had a TD run.
