I think some of the flags we saw tonight stemmed from the JV game last night. Bet there were conversations held before the game.

I said it earlier in the year, that the only way KM can make a deep run is change the offense to a power run. They have 4 capable running backs, including the freshman, to keep legs fresh. I kept waiting to see if they would put #14 in at QB to try something different. The picks were very easy to see coming. The score was close to what I was expecting of 42-14. Crest defense played very well and #0 tracked the running backs well and made some good stops.
Radio said crest rushed for over 300 yards passed for 50ish. Bigtime blocks in rushing game. KM played decent passing D; and Crest left some opportunities on the field. KM just didn’t look good IMO. I’m sure they’ll work through some of that. Refs sucked!!! Playoff brackets will be interesting and I’m sure some of it won’t make much sense. Good luck to everyone in playoffs.

Our running game is just as explosive as our pass game. It has just been overshadowed by the pass. Guess the secrets out now. If our defense plays with this intensity the rest of the way. We will be a tough out .

The coaches name is Tony Nalley. Tony has truly worked his way up to this job. He was involved for a long time with the youth program and was thrilled when he got this opportunity with Crest several years ago. I can tell you this, not many people on this planet better than Tony Nalley. He is a great guy.

Congratulations Chargers! Very impressive win. Keep playing defense like that and I do not see any team in the state beating you regardless of class. Hopefully Cleveland County can bring back two State Champions this year.

I don’t think Kings Mountain Played that bad defensively. I think we all knew they had offensive struggles coming into the game but you can’t have offensive struggles and that many turnovers and give up a special teams score. Crest did what good teams are supposed to do and will have a great shot at the the title. I just think the score looks worse than it actually was, maybe it’s just me. I think if they had some consistency on offense and different play calling it would’ve been a closer game.
I mean I get it, that’s your team but that’s just the way I see it. Great team win and good luck the rest of the way!
I think they played great pass defense. I really do. However, we ran for over 300 yards on that defense too. They had no answers for Tater.
You are also correct. Their offense is pedestrian. The QB play is subpar. I’m not hating on the kid I’m just talking football.
KM was out coached too. That’s also a fact.

I had my wife send me a pic. Great atmosphere! They said it was awesome but the refs were terrible. One of my boys said there were 3 roughing the passer penalties in a row when they were completely clean hits.
I was disappointed in our crowd... on the Shelby and Burns side. Especially for what was riding on the game. Both had areas of open seats. Just not what it used to be. Maybe it will be better in the playoffs.
Two roughing the passer calls that are highly questionable and then an unsportsmanlike penalty for literally getting up and looking at the Crest sideline after a sack.
Refs were terrible
KM scored on that drive but didn’t gain 20 yards for the TD on their own
The officiating will not be any better next couple of weeks either.
The crowds will come my friend. Shelby is playing Shelby football now. I think your prediction may be soot on. Shelby’s going to make a run.
Right now Shelby would beat KM
