Maiden at Reidsville

He was with the Detroit Lions as a FA signee, but got hurt, then cut. Then, I think read where he had gotten on with one of those start up pro leagues that quickly folded.
Was a free agent for Detroit, spent time on practice squad.

Converted to TE for Birmingham Stallions this past season. Produced while he was well. They won the title.

Signed with Chargers in the summer. Waived with an injury. May still be affiliated on their IR, I dunno. Was on our sideline a few weeks back.

Still in the mix any way you cut it!

He left Wake too early. Should have stayed another year.

Heck, he'd have had 3 degrees if he stayed another year, lol. Lots of people think he shoulda played in 2020, he sat out during Covid...
With all the accolades that kid piled up in athletics and academics, I'm thinking I'm not smart enough to question his decision making😄

I get your confidence, and it is warranted, but you haven't seen a passing offense like ours all year. Hell, probably in several years. Have yall even faced a QB that's passed over 2000?
Absolutely we have. And yalls QB IS NOT better than Lee from Shelby. I stand on that. I believe Gavin Gosnell was close to 2k a few years ago if not over. I can't recall all the big time QBs we have taken down or lost to. But I promise you if you think y'all are gonna air it out on us you are mistaken. We got a Legion on BOOM. We picked the #2 3A East QB off 5 times. I'm not sure exactly how many Neal has by hisself. I'm thinking 13. Which I know is freshman record. And surely leads the state. If Al Lee is on we will not lose. If y'all get to him and get him frustrated then things could get ugly. I wasn't this confident until about 4 weeks ago. And we have a Backup QB that would start on A LOT of playoff teams. He brought us back down 7 in the 4th against EA...I've always wanted to play y'all. Much respect. But the way we handled the "Unstoppable Huge O Line" of Chase who ALOT of people said we couldn't that really showed me something. And we didn't play well and still Blanked them. Defense wins championships. And I think we have the best Defense left. Especially in the Secondary. We are small. But we always have been. We have a Big boy that we can just lob it up to in the end zone if need be. Nobody jumping with him. I've seen y'all's WRs. But y'all playing right into our hand if you plan on throwing 30+. Good luck man. Prove me wrong!

Lee threw for 3800 last year when they beat you...and 2700 this year.

J Boaz threw for 4600 the year East Surry beat you 2019....so freshmen that season would be seniors now.
_______________
The EA quarterback you've mentioned above just 1800 yards this year....not a passing team...nothing to brag about.

Our QB this year is at 3600 yards and a QBR of 138. Which will surpass Lee's numbers in the same amount of games.

This is going to be one heck of a ball game on Friday night. Each team will get theirs...who gets it more?

And I said nothing compared to you guys passing wise. Team wise they were a very solid team that lost in the 3rd round of the 3a playoffs.

Number 18 for Reidsville looks like a beast on both sides of the ball. This will definitely be the fastest teams Maidens played this year. I think the key for them is their secondary. They've been inconsistent all year and will need to play great Friday.
I think this will be a very good game. Can't wait for Friday.

This game sounds like it might be similar to the East Surry Reidsville game of 2019. Two very fast receivers and excellent quarterbacks. Anyone that has seen both ES 19' and Maiden 22' see any similarities? Think there will be any similarities in this game?

I remember the fields conditions and always felt optimal conditions could have been a different outcome. We will never know. That is football in December.
Field conditions were fine. LHS made a huge mistake. They focused so heavily on getting the ball to Sage. Austin Chestnut shut him down. The other 1000 yd receiver never got a look. Super cold that night. Really thought that was the Championship game. Two very good teams. Well coached. Athletes everywhere.
Two of the best players on the field will be Reidsville freshman. Senior D tackle , Kelly is huge factor. Jr's Mansfield and Widerman have come a long way this year. I haven't been able to see what kind of support player Maiden has. Saw one video and if you give them time and no pressure we'll have a hard time.
Should be a good game.

I predict Reidsville freshmen DB is going to break a record for most interceptions in a game.

I think Reidsville's opponent avg. 70 yards per game passing. We don't play the same team ten times in one season so we will play you once and see if you would amass those numbers in a season against the defense you will be facing. I am sure both teams will be making necessary adjustments.

I thought the other poster was talking about 40 times at camp. But sounds like they are both pretty darn quick!!! Hope they both show case their talents in this one.

We will see
UNC-bound Chris Culliver (6-3, 175) looks like the most talented game-breaker the Rams have seen in a while. His combination of size and speed will be a huge challenge, even for Reidsville's outstanding secondary. Rams have 27 interceptions as a team (12 by Neal) and opponents have completed only 87 of 198 attempts (44 percent) for 830 yards (64 yards per game).
Makes for a highly-anticipated match-up for Friday night at Reidsville Community Stadium.
