I think Reidsville's opponents avg. 70 yards per game passing. We don't play the same team ten times in one season so we will play you once and see if you would amass those numbers in a season against the defense you will be facing. I am sure both teams will be making necessary adjustments.

Neal is listed as 5-8 so it will be a tough match-up just based on the height difference. But the Rams have some other taller guys in the secondary that will be in on the coverage of the Maiden go-to guy.
Maiden's 6-foot-5 quarterback Wesley Thompson is an interesting story ... he was a starter at Ashe County last season and threw for almost 2,000 yards. The Blue Devils were fortunate to get a experienced QB via transfer to go with all the talent they had returning at WR.
In the win over Bunker Hill last week, he was 18 of 26 for 444 yards and 3 TDs with 1 interception. Culliver posted 9 receptions for 176 yards.
Reidsville knows that putting pressure on a pro-style QB of Thompson's ability is the best pass defense.

No, I think iron sharpens iron and if you don't believe a senior 4 star Carolina recruit leading receiver in NC would make him a better DB, then I have no reason to hold value to anything you have to say

This team isn’t better than 2016 team. I think the only thing this team may have a slight edge in is db’s possibly wr as well.
Offensively this team has more weapons than 2016. Defensivley, this team has more speed than 2016.
I read something about raising money for improvement of stadium for Reidsville. How is this coming along. Are they aiming on getting new turf.

Yes, new turf field and track. Last I heard they got the NFL grant which should get the private donations flowing in. Visitor toilets and concession, being paid for by a different grant, already under construction.
Yeah, but I still don't think this team is better than 2016. I do agree about the speed portion. That 2016 also had a great d line, this d line is good, but not 2016 good.

Watching some film. How did maiden lost to East surry last year. I saw east surry play and they were terrible. Literally no defense at all.
Maiden had control of the game until a strip fumble was returned for a td and culliver got hurt. Snowballed after that.
Tanner Wilson is the best pocket passer I've seen at Reidsville, you could argue about best ever. He could drop it in anywhere he wanted. He had good protection too though.
😂 hey @FACT24 I’ve come to the conclusion that the Reidsville posters really aren’t that bad or arrogant as much as I thought. You guys have nothing on those wrh posters, they have taken the crown. I really want to attend this game, I’m trying to talk myself into the 4 hr drive. I think this is going to be an awesome game. I have been saying all season that the state championship will be won by a western team. I’ve become a fan of the Maiden Blue Devils and even took in a game there last season. My wife and I spent a few hours in the town of Maiden to try and get a feel for how passionate their community is when it comes to football. I’m a diehard hsfb junkie and football in our area isn’t even close to scale of where it is out in that part of the state. I cant get high enough over here to satisfy my addiction for good hsfb, and I definitely can’t stand to watch teams whose offenses are primarily run first. If I go I will let you know otw, there’s a good chance I end up going.

East Surry was very good….disciplined and methodical.

Remember…they held Monroe to 9 points the previous game.
I remember but that was due to Monroe not being good on offense IMO. Any speed and could run by east surry all day and night. Wonder what speed maiden defense has. Especially at the linebacker level

Did a quick search of the scores of both teams....interestingly Reidsville is averaging scoring 42.4 points per game and Maiden is averaging 42.5 points per game.....Defensively Reidsville is averaging allowing 10.5 points per game Maiden allowing 18.8 points per game....if weather isn't a factor (which it probably will be), these two teams could really light up the scoreboard........................
Yes Tanner was the QB of the 2016 team....a great one...tragically he lost his father in a car accident this summer.................
He was a very good QB. He had no trouble spinning the ball on that cold night.
Also noted that the only loss for each team came in week 2 against a 4-A school that made the playoffs. Greensboro Page defeated Reidsville 22-14 and Watauga defeated Maiden 23-19 way back in August.
Both teams enter Friday's showdown with an 11-game winning streak.

Inside LB speed is average at best…more suited to stopping the inside run.
Outside LB is much faster….Hall can fly too!
Secondary speed is fast…you know…Culliver is back there as well.
I love the trench guys….they’re solid as any….held their own against Watauga….the Pioneers were HUMONGOUS!…..and pissed!….due to last year.
