Reidsville in trouble??

Been watching 1A and 2A football a long time. Reidsville dominance comes with a raised eyebrow. It is hard to have that many great athletes on one team at the 2A level. Sounds like rival schools messing with them to be honest

Had a chance to meet the basketball team during John Wall classic. Don't know about medical records or anything like that, but I can say there program is well looked after by caring people.

Would not let them live down Southwest Onslow beat them for a state crown, but was impressed by there care givers and team.

As an outsider not knowing the ins and outs. Didn't fully understand the reasoning of the article. Yeah they broke some rules of paperwork and being high school kids I guess medical is important. But didn't see like a smoking gun in the article. Unless they are trying to make the argument of "lack of oversight of the athletic programs"

If they are missing eligibility paperwork such as the Gfeller-Waller Concussion Packet, the NCHSAA medical history form, and a physical, it absolutely can be a smoking gun. That's a major risk and liability on the school.

I could see it being the butch Davis call. Where they say it's a "lack of institutional control". But when I say smoking gun I guess I mean more along the lines of finding players who are playing there illegally but not because of paperwork

It's nothing like the Butch Davis call and this isn't the NCAA.

If players were indeed missing paperwork, Reidsville is going to forfeit games. Missing that paperwork makes them ineligible just like a player that doesn't follow residency rules.

Get off your high horse liberal. Reidsville kids did nothing wrong. Mistake by an adult, should not lead to games forfeited

Football101de should have taken Football102. Forfeits and fines will come if what many suspect has happened is true. To some it won’t seem fair and it won’t negate what was accomplished between the lines but rules and penalties for these types of things have been in place for decades.

Tell me you don't know how the rules work without telling me you don't know how the rules work. You can call me a "liberal" all you want but at least I'm not misinformed like you obviously are.
I know the rules, liberal lol. Im just saying the adult should be punished not the kids. No shit there has to be physicals and concussion paperwork. Just saying if you agree with taking away the kids hard work, you're telling me how you live your life, without telling me. You must never lined up and bleed and sweat with your teammates in the 100 degree summer.

It doesn't matter if I agree or not, the rules are the rules. If there wasn't some level accountability to the team and school then it would be the wild west with eligibility. So by your logic a coach can throw a couple 20 year olds on the field and win a state title but once it's discovered the wins shouldn't be terminated because it's not fair to the rest of the team. It sucks but it's just how it is and the adults have to live with the fact they let the kids down.

Sadly that guilt doesn't hang around long as folks that make these mistakes seem to land on their feet for some reason.

Coaches and Administrators are part of the team and hate it for the players. Reidsville is mediocre in every sport but football and basketball including the women. Need to definitely have your ducks in row for those two sports
