GreenEville Vs. Pisgah

Couldn't find anyone from Greeneville that was getting offers.

From what I know, he is being heavily recruited by a lot of FCS schools- basically all of the Southern Conference schools and several schools in the Colonial Athletic Conference. He is also talking to most of the Ivy League schools and the Academies. Most people don't realize that he is 4.0 student as well. He has some offers but I can't remember from who. He is only a Junior, so I imagine more offers are forthcoming this season and into the winter.

Unfortunately, and unfairly, most schools think just like your previous statement: "the qb is 5'10", a buck 95." That is,until they get him on campus to throw and run at one of their camps and then they won't stop calling.
Somebody will get a steal with him, but I am guessing that his size will make some coaches not even look at him. And in my opinion, that is short-sighted and ignorant on coaches' parts. If the kid can make all of the throws and make all of the plays, I have never understood immediately crossing someone off your list because he is 5'10 instead of 6'.

We had a qb his size from 04-06 who was an amazing qb, who put up stats like him in three years. Duel threat. He went to WCU and quit early due to a back issue. Nothing wrong with southern conference. I wish him the best.

Sounds like your QB at Greeneville is basically just Zack Jaynes 2.0 who was my teammate at Pisgah and has been and still is one of my life long best friends. I know you probably don't know who he is but that's not a knock to your QB at all, that's a very good compliment.

Did you play in the Avery game when Avery had 2 minute drill to beat you guys.Really good game to watch.Pisgah scored late and Ricky Spradling took Avery down the field to win it.I think you guys had Jaynes then.

Appvol, Yeah... I remember that game unfortunately. It was 2004. That would have been our sophomore year. Their was about 5 of us that got moved up to Varsity earlier that year and Zack was one of us. He was a 3 year starter at QB, should have been 4.

He played QB at Western Carolina. I went to an FCA camp when I played in high school and my counselor was the center for the catamounts and have followed them ever since. Beautiful stadium over there!

Swipes, are you talking about Kevin Wiggins or Steven Ray? I also played at WCU the same time Zack was there...

His name was Justin Johnson. The camp was held at Gardner Webb. I think you and I are about the same age since my last high school football season was 07

Yeah, we're the same age I think. I graduated high school in 2007. I never got to play with JJ, he left WCU as I got out there but I do remember him from recruiting visits and stuff like that. He transferred from UT, if I remember correctly...

He did. His high school (Seymour) was in our region last year

Your video link doesn't work. Here's a pic of our awesome stadium. Hope you guys get to visit next year.
Hey 90, should we really show them our stadium and tell them how much the 50/50 pot was for the Tuscola game last year?

I'm tired of hearing some of you all that don't have faith in our Bears. That kind of attitude trickles down to the players and is guaranteed to get you beat! Personally, I can't wait for our Boys to ram it down your throats, beat em down on defense, and then steal your girlfriends, who double as your sisters, after the game! Bears 56 Greeneville 5.

Go for it. Maybe we can top it when they come to Canton next year. Bring fat wallets guys.
Hope so, but it will be difficult to beat the $19,630 that the winning fan took home last year. Total pot was over $39,000. All tickets were sold that night at the game. Stadium pic to be posted soon

Of course you would. You're like the annoying relative that has to always one up you. Like cousin Eddie on Christmas Vacation.

How many does you stadium hold and Who is you biggest rival?
As far as rival I would have to Morristown West. Neither team likes the other and it's usually one of those really close games. As far as capacity I'm not sure. Swipes may answer that better than myself. We have had a ton of up grades but seating isn't been one of them. I do know under the home side is concrete seating. They out bleachers over that years ago. The weight room upgrade is the most important piece! Our fields are very similar. We have Astro Turf. Nothing Beas a football Friday night at Burley. Nothing!

I would put up the Pisgah/Tuscola game when it is held at Pisgah against any game in the Southeast. It's been part of the Great American Rivalry series for several years. Even one of the East Tennessee websites came and covered the game last year. They were invited over by Jonathan Crompton's dad, who is a guest reporter for that site.

Guys, these are Tennessee folks. They're not going to believe that anything over here is as good or better than anything over there. Their inferiority complex is legendary. In fact, that is what they should call Greeneville's stadium. "The Inferiority Complex." Their team looks loaded and I hope they win the state championship over there so their fans can have their existence validated. Otherwise you may see these loudmouths jumping off rocky top without a parachute! ;)

I heard it took you all a full season to realize you didn't have to mow your Astro Turf. Pretty bad for a town with a John Deere factory, but I guess that's actually pretty quick thinking for East Tennesseans.

Go checkout some of bvd videos. You'll see the stadium. The trees and bushes have grown over the past ten years make the stadium look amazing.
