TheMule, him being a Cleveland County poster I'd guess it's a reference to Keeter Stadium, a state of the art local baseball park adjacent to Blanton Memorial Stadium at Shelby High School where the American Legion World Series is held in early and mid-August. Notice the link:

I spent a lot of years in that old shack that was the visitors side concession stand in front of the port-a-johns. The breaker would flip if we tried to plug in anything but a heater and the soft spot in the floor was a little scary. Saw a lot of great games from there before the booster club took over from the Lions Club and I got to sit in the stands.How is the 'ol Bears secondary looking these days? Because Friday night you will see four wide outs with speed and size like you have never seen this year.
You will like Community Stadium otherwise as Reidsville now has concessions and real bathrooms on the visitors side, things that were sorely missing in the past. And, or course, you will easily see the sign "The Football Capital of North Carolina" just to remind you where you are.
Nothing like football still going on at Thanksgiving and after.
That makes a huge difference in appearance and the attitudes of all involved with the program. Hickory got a turf field in 2021 and things have looked up since then. We still need some overhaul with stands and some more bathrooms on the visitor's side, but that is coming soon.

That's a sore spot for me 🤣. Hickory's welcome for the loan from Catawba County schools for that. Even though they denied maidens turf when they were building the new High School even though we were paying for out of donations and no tax money. Once again a sore spot for me
AMD, don't know how many years that's been but for a long time, here, if licensed lenders and financial institutions had turned you down, there was this family who would give you a loan, and it was there just for the asking. No collateral, no promissory note or any other paperwork. They wouldn't even take you to court if you defaulted.
They would, however, come to visit with you, and offer "motivational advice" on how to pay off the loan, but they've all passed away and that's no longer a possibility. Guess other town just didn't have such helpful amenities like we did.

AMD, look at the video Rammer16 posted of the 2006 Reidsville-Newton-Conover game. What do you think, fumble or no. Over the years Red Devils fans claim the ball was taken away after their back was down, and this is the first time I'd seen it. The reason I asked you is because of your rank hatred for Newton-Conover, and I know you wouldn't side with them unless it was obvious. My eyes aren't good enough to tell.

The runner was straight up when ball was out. A photo was in paper years ago showing it as well. They were just mad they didn’t take knee and run clock out. They pulled a Mario Cristobal
You had a good view of it from the field. Some of our fans were in the parking lot including at least one poster on here
On the video he wasn't straight up. Looked like one of the defenders was trying to wrench the ball away from him as he was going down or was down.

Yea on video is harder to see but if you can slow it down the ball was in John Conally hands with both knees over a foot off the ground. Which isn’t close in my opinion. Lucky stood that fullback up and John finished it off. Love my brothers
Yea I just watched and zoomed in again. When the FB back was facing EJ foster 44 and Lucky 41 , John 31 already had both hands on ball with FB straight up. They were both wrestling for it but the ball control had already started to be lost. Then about 8 inches from knees hitting the ball pops up in air with John 31 catching it immediately. Great play by all 3 of those guys. Irreplaceable talent and heart
No worries here , fun anticipation but nothing to worry about.not familiar with BK in 2A playoffs playing this far, maybe I’m wrong but I’m very familiar with Reidsvilke a experienced deep playoff team and I’d be a little more than concerned
BK played 4 teams with winning records and 2 of those 4 were playoff teams, one being Monroe who has been overrated all season
Thanks24, that's what I thought might have happened. Appreciate you checking. I used it to really bug a guy from Newton I worked around and he'd get really mad. I'd heard that the the runner might have lost possession before being down so what you said makes sense.
Beat 4 teams in our conference who had winning records plus made playoffs ( 3 went to round 2) so technically have played 6 teams with winning records so do a little more research

I appreciate you looking. I couldn't tell either, and it's not the best angle for viewing. You mentioned sore spots on a previous post, it's one for them. My first cousin's daughter is an executive with a large company and she always has this professional calm about her, but bring that up and it lights a fire, her being a Newton-Conover alumna.
Get over it and get your facts straight. The money from Catawba County came from the Commissioners and not the school board. Maiden needs to work out their financing and get it done. I'll guarantee you that Maiden High's Booster Club has the funds to at least bankroll a loan. Don't forget that Citizens of the City of Hickory pay Catawba county taxes annually.
I had one of the better views on the field that night too. We had just fumbled a few plays earlier on a screen pass that broke loose for a big play and we fumbled at end of it. Defense did a great job covering our butts when we did struggle. Which wasn’t often
Yeah, but your the CEO, the Newton-Conover associates will be afraid of losing their job and/or their bonus if they argue. They'll just have this semi-smile that resembles someone in great pain as they shake their heads yeah and say "Yeah, Yeah, You're right Boss." Then when you leave the room they'll cuss Maiden.
The guy I worked with from Newton who I would needle with it, told my Mother I enjoyed aggravating him. She told me I should grow up. I was 50 years old, then.

I know my camerawork wasn’t good but knowing how close Maiden, Newton, conover, hickory and Claremont are I couldn’t resist opening up an old controversy! The 2006 team came up short losing to Cummings the next week but the 2007 team you were on took out Shelby for the 1st of 3 straight championships. And Rambbq was on the way to his car in the parking lot when he heard the crowd going wild!😂😂😂

We had the money for it no tax dollars needed but we were told no y'all can't have it, not fair to other schools by school board and I still hold to claim that bazzle was a big part of arguing against us getting it. Also y'all's city wanted it's on Independent school system so let y'all's city pay for it 🤷🏼♂️

I believe so it has to do with grading and I believe the grading was done as if turf was going in. We had full funding. Also they made us remove seating to pay for lights on the women's softball field 🙄
