Well, in that weak conference, I'm surprised NE doesn't have the #1 offense in the country! I, for one, am tired of hearing about NE this and NE that, all the D1 talent. Just let the kids play the game Friday. NE may very well win, but geez have some class about it.
It should be a good game, they(NE) might have more talent, we may be more battle tested, either way I think it'll be closer than the 28pt difference someone predicted. Winner may be the same as predicted by most, but I think the horses come out and play hard nosed football and surprise some people, may not win, but the effort will be prideful for dark horse fans.
Yeah the conference is weak this year. That means nothing. I see most of the posters want Clinton to pull it out. Friday is almost here. No excuses-both teams have their full squads...
Darkhorse means underdog/longshot when it pertains to sports so hey we are right where we need to be......all the pressure is on them
Being ranked nationally in any category is a big achievement. But it can also be a little misleading. Havelock is ranked inside the top 50 nationally in both offense and defense and a 2a team took them to school.

We play our nationally ranked team out of Virginia two years in a row and then next year we play a top 3 team in the country
But yet Northeastern don't play Nobody what team do y'all play that's nationally ranked since all y'all so battle-tested
You don't think we the fans and the players don't get tired of hearing everyone tell them exactly what you just said. They can't help it that they play in the NEC, so maybe you should show a lil class as you say and stop trying to rain on their parade. It gets a lil old hearing it all the time from all these powerhouse programs with such rich tradition. Have you ever thought that maybe things are starting to even out a little bit now, and that maybe this Northeastern team really is capable of taking out these teams from your conference.
It all starts tomorrow night. Rest assured, the Eagles are playing with a chip on their shoulder and will be ready to play.
Well thats all good goob no disrespect here but NE won 11-0 games in a row all teams for that matter playing with a chip on their shoulder,i dont doubt NE Is good .but their are other good teams out there as well,that are gunning for NE Head too. So no matyer who plays all that matters or who comes to play and win.. Which clinton will be ready to play NE will be ready to play as i said i wont clinton to win ,only because they ECC Family i have no allegiance to the school. As i stated i dont know anything about NE simply put if one of the teams are. Taking the other lightly big mistake. I dont care how good u are.. Ask Wrh,they can testify,overconfidence will cause u to lose via ED. So again may the best team win...it doesnt matter about records now size doesnt matter all that matters is who pulls it out and wins the game.. Point blank..
I can’t speak for the rest of the posters and their comments but in regards to mine, I think NE is a great team and only reason why I mention us maybe being more battle tested because I feel our schedule was harder but that in no way was to insult NE as to who they have played but just mention we have played a hard schedule, hence us being maybe a little more “battle tested”. Tomorrow should be fun for someone and hopefully it’s a classic. Go horses.
Lol who has said anything bout rings up here?....they(Clinton players) look up here and all they see is those maxpreps stats and talk about D1 guys....dont believe a single poster mention anything about our Championship rings.....only thing I said related to the subject is the deamenor of some NE posters I believe I said “You can tell who has been there before” and reading some of the comments you really can
No problem with your statements, just keep in mind it goes both ways. I have read numerous posts from posters from the ECC talking about their rings,tradition,etc. Shouldn't matter if us NHS posters post videos,max prep stats,etc. Should we not be proud? Give us a lil slack, unlike WRH,Clinton, SWO,ED, we haven't been there before. Nobody's saying we can't lose, were just saying we got a really good team and a couple of superstars. I already stated earlier on another post that I thought Reidsville would win 2a. That thought hasn't wavered.
I don't know much but the one thing that will be different from the last time Clinton visited NE will be the gap in weight room. Since NE went to the State Championship in 2010 the strength and conditioning is noticeable, I think the coaching staff has done a great job with that. Good luck to both teams and safe travel to Clinton. Should be little warmer than last week!!
It takes much more than a chip on ones shoulder to play great football in fact I would think it could be detrimental.

we (ED) havent been there before. we've had some great teams but never made it to a state title appearance YET!
no disrespect to my fellow ECC member Darkhorses, but i really dont think this game will be that close! Clinton is not a bad team, but also not a very good team. if NE is loaded with the athletes everybody is saying they have, i think NE wins without too much trouble. Clinton has a whole lot of tradition that i have always respected, but tradition alone wont win you any ball games. talented players do. i just dont think Clinton has quite enough game changers on their team to get it done at NE. if Clinton wins, i was proven wrong and more power to my fellow ECC members.
Panther i dont think its gonna be a blowout thats just me if it is then it it what it is ,but i dont see that..
I just don't want drive over 4 hrs next week. Go darkhorses!

The City Grille is at the traffic light where you turn to go to NHS. The food is cheap and really good. It's 1/4 mile from the stadium. When your coming in it will be on your left side at the traffic light where you turn. If you want seafood then go to Quality Seafood on Eringhaus Street or Groupers which is located on the water at the end if Eringhaus Street.
