Entertaining game last night that saw Rutherford County knock off Cleveland County 7-6 in 9 innings. Game even included a stealing of home.

CC playing a little short handed right now with Burns still in playoffs. Heard there were 6 players that will be joining CC from that squad.

Got some good ones coming from Burns too, including the Putnam kid. Should be a bounce back season this year.

Cherryville Post 100 defeated Gastonia 11-0 Sunday night. Their next two games are against Queen City....at home Wednesday, at Queen City Thursday. Cherryville is projected to be the favorite to win the West division and Queen City the East division. Both teams made it to the State Tournament last season.

I expect Rutherford County to have a strong team in the West. I am also hearing that Cleveland County and Asheville will be good. In the East I see the Gaston Braves as the top challenger to Queen City. Of course, we will have to see how it all plays out at playoff time.
