Week 1 SAC6 thoughts

Clinton - Clinton at Northside-Jacksonville
Clinton lost a lot but Clinton is still Clinton. The cupboard is not bare. They will have more than enough to pull this one out. Clinton by 21.

Fairmont - Fairmont at Lumberton
Fairmont has athletes but can they get them on the field. Last year they pulled the upset over 4A Lumberton. Lumberton has a new coach but will still struggle. They will have enough to
keep off Fairmont. Lumberton by 6.

Midway - Hobbton at Midway
Hobbton always has a fire power and after last year’s high scoring game if you like offense you may take the drive. Hobbton by 12.

Red Springs- Byrd at Red Springs
Two teams that are similar, athletic and fast. Byrd by 6.

St. Pauls - Purnell Swett at St. Pauls
Should be the game of the week for Robeson County. 4A Swett coming off a respectable year and 2A St. Pauls which has carried football in the county. St. Pauls by 14.

West Bladen - South Columbus at West Bladen
Both teams coming off subpar seasons but i will take the tradition of the Stallions in this one. South Columbus by 8.

#30 AL Brown at #3 Mooresville

Just gonna post this now because I don’t see any scenario where this match up doesn’t change.

Just played these guys a couple weeks ago, and played like poo. Now that we both have our big rivalry games in the rear view… let’s see how this one goes. As we found out… STOP HERRON. lol. If that man gets into open space it is a wrap. But also have to stay on the WRs outside… because ALB has 3 all conference caliber WRs and I would argue the best QB (top 2 for sure) in the league in CJ Gray.

I wouldn’t expect us to do anything different from what we normally do offensively… run run run. We are who we are in that regard.

Hopefully this time ALB brings a much larger crowd to spice up the environment

Former college coach Keith Emery is currently the 4th head coach at the Charlotte Catholic in 50 years. He will offer the team leadership and a wealth of experience. Catholic has more than enough elite players. With Coach Emery's impressive record of competitive success at the high school and college levels it is certain that this program may go very deep starting this season.

Providence Day football schedule

With the movement of football players will make this schedule interesting. Charlotte Christian picks up couple good players Jamal Rule from Salisbury and Elijah Littlejohn from West Charlotte. They went 8-4 last year but could make things interesting this year. Rabun Gap went 13-1 while Providence Day went 12-1 with a State title win over Rabun Gap in Championship game.
Providence Day will have a stiff schedule and should be some good games to see.

This may not be complete schedule
8/16 @ Trinity Christian
8/22 vs Weddington
8/30 vs Asheville
9/6 @ Charlotte Catholic
9/13 vs Country Day
9/20 vs Christ School
9/27 @ North Raleigh Christian Academy
10/10 vs Charlotte Christian
10/18 @ Rabun Gap
