15-12 Final

Rematch from earlier in the conference where NW Cabarrus won 49-9 over West Rowan. We could possibly see another rematch in the 2nd rd with JM Robinson vs NW Cabarrus. That will be interesting.

I think it’s a possibility. They have the best defense in conference. How far has their offense come along. Big test coming up with Hickory Ridge this next Friday. I believe this game is winnable for Mooresville but anything can happen. Still good games ahead for Mooresville. They still would be facing good quality teams such as Providence, AL Brown and Lake Norman. Any thoughts.

The two bracket releases that I love the most are the NC high school football playoff brackets and the NCAA men’s basketball brackets. Good luck to all teams.

Going back to last weeks game, Mt Airy's Tyler Mason carried the ball 4 times, scored 4 touchdowns and picked up 121 yards.
Last night Mason had 5 carries, scored 5 touchdowns and picked (unofficially) 209 yards.

9 Consecutive carries, 9 touchdowns!! Unofficially 330 Yards. Anybody know of any of other player accomplished anything like that?

Wow. With the victory over West Craven last night, SWE leapfrogged both Nash Central and East Duplin to secure the 3rd spot in the east. I know we had the tougher final opponent of the three, but it still surprised me a little that it was enough to jump two teams. Are there any other final RPI standings that stand out in your opinions?

West Columbus won last night to finish unbeaten in the 1A/2A Waccamaw Conference for their first out right conference championship since 1979. We finished 6-0 in conference and 9-1 overall. First back to back 9 win seasons in school history as well. I’m thinking this has locked us into the number 2 seed for the 1A East. As far as the 1A, it’s mainly about Tarboro and the West teams on this forum, rightfully so. I don’t make predictions, but I do feel we can make some noise in this years playoffs. We went to the third round for the first time in school history last season. Best of luck to everyone in the playoffs.

Big game this Friday, could be a great game if the same Tuscola team that has shown up these past two weeks shows up Friday. Looks like West has been the real deal all season, but let's see if Crompton has any tricks up his sleeve dealing with his previous team. I think Tuscola plays a better game than they did last year, don't know if they have quite the horses to come out with the win but if they play inspired and control the ball it could be interesting.

They are synchronizing, and nobody is even close to beating them. Anything is possible at any time, but I predict Scotland reaching the Big Ship.

They have Midway ahead of St. Pauls in the seeding. St. Pauls was 4-1 in league and Midway 3-2.
