Well us Clinton fans had to wait a extra week but here it is the official start to dark horse football season....A rematch from the eastern final a year ago...Alot of history,tradition, and pride with these 2 programs.....Southwest is coming off a stunning 41-0 loss to J-ville but I think SWO won't lay down for us....listening to the game and reading the article on it SWO had Alot of miscues and mental mistakes which is normal for first game especially with some of the young guys they have which is were they may have a slight advantage there first game hiccups and jitters are out the way....Clinton is pretty much all brand new up front on both lines offense and defense and have a number of sophomores/juniors including starting QB playing their first real varsity game so I expect some growing pains......Overall I would not be surprised to see a slow start but once we get in rhythm look out...We passed Alot in our scrimmages eager to see if we continue that QB Chris Williams looked good in the scrimmages so did all the WRs its going to really open things up for this explosive backfield especially if SWO stacks the box.......my prediction 35-7 Clinton

Still plenty of talent in Shelbys jvs...was 41-6 start of 4th...im sure Shelby sub alot....

I think this will be a great game to kick of the HS season ill be in the building to cover this one for NCpreps.com im looking forward to it. I think this game will set the tone for each team season but wont have as much effect as people will think. Either team would be able to bounce back from a loss an go on a win streak an win it all. I commend the coaches for schedule tough an not shying away from the lime light. I have always felt if you have a talented team an program play the best an put your money where your mouth is. Give your fans something to back up.

Safe travels ... I would recommend leaving early Traffic will Suck especially if it rains 2 or 3 drops. I would also suggest 85 right through ATL instead of getting on 285 and going around its been my experience 285 is always worse plus right down the monsters throat is a shorted distance... if your going to be sitting cussing may as well cut the distance

Last year the Hough Huskies rolled into Joe Popp stadium looking to live up to the early season rankings and expectations, with a new head coach, with a pretty darn good football team. But the Mooresville Blue Devils curb-stomped them in front of a packed house. It never was close.

This time around, the Blue Devils gotta make a trip down Bailey Rd. The Huskies want revenge in a bad, bad way. Mooresville had to come from behind against W Rowan last week and, had to hold off a 2 pt conversion attempt, and then secure an on-sides kick, to seal that win at home. Hough rolled @ Harding 40-6 in their season opener. Coach Aldrige and his Huskies are staring down the barrel of a four game stretch vs. Mooresville, Lake Norman, Ardrey Kell, and Butler. They want to build momentum heading into MECKA play. Hal Capps knows the Blue Devils cant be as "friendly" on special teams as they were last week. They also have games @ Kannapolis and @ Statesville looming. Big game for both teams. It should be a good one.
