CPC 10/27

Obviously we have the huge game West Forsyth VS East Forsyth for the CPC title
I am gonna say East by 3
Davie VS Glenn, Davie by 2 TD's
Mt Tabor VS Parkland, MT by 2 TD's
R.J. Reynolds VS Reagan, Reagan by 1 TD

Any thoughts on any of these games?

Northeastern Eagles 🦅

At the 4:20 mark you can get a glimpse of our future at qb. The kids name is Zac Ishman and he has a cannon for an arm. He comes in with a lot of hype but will have to wait his turn because Tre Jones is only a junior. We also have a big time rb coming in who’s father (Daronte McNeil) starred here and was a 3 star recruit with a lot of D1 offer. The kid is only a freshman and is 6’2 185 and extremely powerful. The word around here is this kid has it all and may end up being better than his father. Our Jv team is undefeated and is coming off a win over Tarboro. I try and tone it down a bit but I’m just really excited about the present team and how good our future looks. I believe if we can tighten up our defense just a little bit we will have a good shot at winning the East. I think we are way better than most up here think and that our running game is second to none. We have weaknesses like all teams but I believe there’s a lot more things that our kids excel at. One such thing I’ve noticed is our ability to force turnovers and our return team with Sylvester and company has really played well. If we can just I make improvements in our pass coverage I think we’ll put ourselves in position to win the east. I feel Clinton is the top team in the east and I think this Northeastern team is the one team in the state that can compete with them.

Team Shelby

Sad state of affairs. There are hardly any Shelby threads anymore, and there are hardly any active Shelby posters nowadays. We used to be deeper than the mob on here. We used to be deep enough to form Voltron, the lions and the car version. Sure, we have the legendary Cleveland County thread, but 90% of it lately is about Crest’s offense.🙄

A brotha can’t even get the golden scoop anymore anymore, because our golden insider is inactive. The Champs only posts when Shelby is dissed, whether direct or subliminally. No longer see 65 Lion, Golden One, shstigers anymore, to name a few, and obviously shelbyfan1. I know our conference is terrible, and nothing is worth talking about. But, man, has things changed in the past two years.

How are we health wise? I know we lost one of our top linemen for the year. Depth is a major concern for this team. We lost players to the transfer portal, and our top back just said screw football altogether, and didn’t even play to begin with. I do love what I see in Tate, though, but that would have been a heckuva tandem. Shelby has some young talent, but we can’t afford to lose any players.

Oh yeah, I also like what the coaches have done with Hollifield in the offense, rather than just using him in a short yardage back scenario. They play him as an athlete now, receiver, running back, and quarterback.

What’s you guys level of optimism going forward this season? I feel we can compete, but don’t have any room for error, as we have in recent years. I do like the young talent being developed. Some of those guys are going to be some very good players in time.

Tarboro and the postseason

With playoffs right around the corner, I figured I’d start this thread for Tarboro fans. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Vikings going into the postseason? Can they avenge last years lost, or are they still to young? Can their defense hold up, or is their offense so explosive they can overcome any defensive woes? Anyone concerned with the turnovers? So, let’s hear it Viking fans, what’s your thoughts, and let’s be honest, but have some fun with this thread.

Good Luck to everyone tonight!!!

I want to wish everyone good luck tonight. There is a tremendous set of matchups tonight with serious playoff implications. My hope is everyone comes out of tonight healthy and ready for playoffs. The second season is the best time of year!!!! I know we give each other a hard time on the boards having fun and sometimes not but the truth is this is the most important time for players and coaches. Good Luck to everyone!!!

Clinton at St Pauls(Mon 10/23)

Game moved to tomorrow evening due to the weather Friday. St Pauls after a 0-3 start has won 5 in a row. Could they be the first conference team to give us a game? Last two meetings have been competitive and decided the conference championship, I believe we are the better team but don’t expect the Bulldogs to lay down they got some players aswell including Shrine Bowl selection LB Jamarcus Smith and East/West All Star game selection Chris Bryant leading the defense. Offense they return a solid duel threat QB in Theo Setzer and multi purpose RB Yoshua McBryde.

Last season this game was an instant classic we shall see what happens tomorrow night. Go Horses!!!!!
