Realignment - My proposed conferences

I am taking a stab at what the conferences could look like for 2025-2029. I tried to use no more than 3 classifications in split leagues. Also tried to get 6 football schools in each league, but it didn't always happen. I did 58 schools in 8A-2A and 38 in 1A, including public schools opening in 2025 and 2026. Allows for schools 306 and smaller to have their own championships except in football (2A/1A combined.)

I know not everyone will agree on these, but wanted to know what you think (feedback please).

Baseball Gaston Co. Middle School Championship

Had the opportunity to watch the GCMS Championship game yesterday; Stanley @ Belmont. Stanley won the ballgame 7-3 in a game executed at a very high level for 12-14 year old boys. Great game to watch.

East Gaston, Stuart Cramer and South Point have some studs on the way. Stanley feeds EG and Stuart Cramer while Belmont feeds Stuart Cramer and SP with the possibility of each losing a kid or two to Highland Tech. Given the strength of SP and SC already the next few years for both of those schools on the diamond looks very good. SC does not have a SR on their roster this year.

WHY !

WHY WAS THE EAST SURRY THREAD MOVED TO THE 2A BOARD ?
My thoughts and I am only posting my opinion agree or disagree but opinions should be allowed.

Why was this thread moved to the 2A board?
I see cross-board threads and posts on a regular basis, just to name one is the guy from the 2A board posting threads and posts predicting JD Adkins leaving Mount Airy on the 1A, 2A, & 3A boards. East Surry takes less time ( 10 miles 10 minutes) to drive to than to Starmount and if I am correct ES has been part of the NWC 50 plus years and is still a non-conference game, a part of our schedule ! Seems someone doesn't have much to do this time of year and should realize ES is still a part of the NWC if only in the minds of the ones that had ES and NS as a rivalry game far more so than any other game. Also, come 2025 East Surry will most likely be a part of the NWC again maybe as 3A if what some say comes true. Posting this thread originally on the 1A broad was fair and broke no rules if we go by all the threads and posts over the years that never got moved when of interest to us that don't go to the 2A, 3A, or 4a boards very often especial in the off-season ! ! ! Just asking for everyone to be treated fairly and this was uncalled for as I only found it out on the 1A board as probably many others ! I only go to the 2A board during the season to keep up with local teams East & North Surry.

Is Roughtrader4444 the NC football guru?

He knows about football in NC from the mountains to the coast and every in between. He knows coaches and history of those who have been retired for some time from numerous areas within the state. He knows who are the best teams, the best coaches, the best players, hiring searches, and any other thing you want to know about when it comes to high school football. Is he the high school football equivalent of Mel Kiper?

Warren King

For folks who have been around Thomasville Bulldog football, as a fan or as an opponent, you may recognize this name.
Warren has been a fan of the Bulldogs for sixty years. He roamed the sidelines well into his seventies, waving that huge Bulldog flag. If you watched the Greensboro, Winston Salem or High Point Friday football shows, you’ve seen him.
At age 83, Warren passed away peacefully this afternoon. He loved his Bulldogs. And he loved every player, cheerleader and coach. He watched from a wheelchair this year as his ‘Dogs made their way into the latter rounds of the playoffs. And, in his mind, the Bulldogs never lost. They just ran out of time.
Some would say he was mentally challenged. I would say that he’s the kindest man I’ve ever known.
I had the privilege of taking Warren to games for the last thirty years. And, after every game, I would say, “Warren King, often imitated” and he would say, “but never ever duplicated”.
Amen. Long live the King.

MT Tabor Spartans 2024

Looking at their roster they have alot of their skill players returning. And most of their defense players returning. The only postion OL is unproven at this time. I am sure they will have JV players that will step it up on Varsity or any transfers. Should be a good season for the Spartans. Playing in a tough unpredictable CPC Conference will be a challange. The 2 toughest Grimsley and East Forsyth on Tabor schedule. Any thoughts?
