With the construction for the new Franklin High School underway, there will be no games at The Panther Pit for at least this year. Currently, the place where the football stadium once stood is a massive hole in the ground, on par with those massive strip mines in Wyoming (ok, maybe not quite that big). Instead of having ten true road games this year, however, the school announced that it has entered into an agreement with WCU and with Rabun Gap to play home games at their facilities. I know this is a football board and I am aware many of you dislike the RPI. In women's soccer as of today Carver is the #32 seed in the Western 1A. They have 0 wins and have scored 0 goals. I find this quite intriguing. Your thoughts?

What has been taking a long time to build now they are getting closer with coming up with a tight budget of $130 million. The athletic fields are not included. It was around $190 million with athletic fields. It was mentioned that will try and work on something so they can have athletic fields included. It could take up to 30 months starting on it. Or possibly sooner

Watching the NCHSAA board live and a question came up about charters and rules. The Director says they requested that charters follow the same rules as traditional schools. If that is the case, then how can they have a 25 mile radius of kids to enroll, recruit, whatever. Now on to my question. Can anyone clarify the HighschoolOT reporting that 1A, 2A,3A and 4A will be combined for individual and dual wrestling. Is that a misprint and do they mean 1A/2A and 3A/4A will combine? To make two regionals with top four qualifying in an 8 man bracket for states would be absolutely insane for wrestling. That would be like over 120 schools trying to fill a 16 man bracket.

I have noticed Hough High has had two very good and very successful kickers.

Interesting fact: By the end of this year's NFL draft of the 21 public high schools in Charlotte Mecklenburg that offer football, 17 of them will have an active alum on an NFL roster. Six of them with two or more.

The six with two or more; West Meck, Mallard Creek, Chambers, Myers Park, Ardrey Kell and Butler. The four with none; Garinger, East Meck, Palisades and Ballantyne Ridge, with the latter two schools both being brand new schools, less than three years old.

Nice non-conference schedule!

I know it’s a little early to start but I’m excited for this one. Week 1 to open up at Neutral site (Memorial Stadium I believe) and It’s going to be on 21 or 22 which is what is listed on our schedule graphic

This will be a major test for the Blue Devils as This Weddington team is known for a tough defense with an above avg offense. Mooresville Offensive is very good but Defense will be the ? ; I am excited as this is prob of one the biggest match up Mooresville has had in Non conference wise. This is going to be fun.

Mooresville looks to challenge themselves this year with Grimsley (Pre season) ; Weddington; Hough and East Forsyth.

Mooresville sweeps LN and will take 1st place due to tie breaker over HR!! One of the best games for Mooresville and one of the biggest since 2019. Great crowd and Atmosphere tonight!
