Realignment - My proposed conferences

I am taking a stab at what the conferences could look like for 2025-2029. I tried to use no more than 3 classifications in split leagues. Also tried to get 6 football schools in each league, but it didn't always happen. I did 58 schools in 8A-2A and 38 in 1A, including public schools opening in 2025 and 2026. Allows for schools 306 and smaller to have their own championships except in football (2A/1A combined.)

I know not everyone will agree on these, but wanted to know what you think (feedback please).

My Breakdown of what 8 Classes Could be if they'd quit playing around

8 classes is here...and for the better if done right.

Charter schools (including the 4 added last week) = 58
Everyone else = 382
Total schools = 440

While it would be nice for an even 55 split all the way down - we have 58 schools who do not play football (46 charter and 12 public) - so I propose a breakdown like such:

**Not enough football playing charter schools to create their own classification
**Too many non-football schools in the lower classifications
**East/West split in football couldn't be done until playoffs in 1A - heavy PO travel

NonFB SplitSCHOOLSEASTWESTPLAYOFFS

6A54282632
7A50262432
8A50302032

NonFB Split**Separate NFB schools allows for smooth 2A-8A class breakdown and E/W split (per class) pre-playoff
1A - No FB**Only 5 of the non-FB schools are above 600 ADM (91% within 542 ADM)
2A**422 ADM Diff - Mean ADM 396 (21 under - 39 above (within 18 - not ideal)) lower end extreme
3A**194 ADM Diff - Mean ADM 681 (29 under - 31 above (within 2 - excellent))
4A**148 ADM Diff - Mean ADM 856 (24 under - 30 above (within 6 - great))
5A**239 ADM Diff - Mean ADM 1059 (27 under - 27 above (even - perfect outcome))
6A**376 ADM Diff - Mean ADM 1344 (27 under - 27 above (even- perfect outcome))
7A**404 ADM Diff - Mean ADM 1708 (27 under - 23 above (within 4 - great))
8A**1712 ADM Diff - Mean ADM 2314 (29 under - 21 above (within 8 - good))

Baseball Gaston Co. Middle School Championship

Had the opportunity to watch the GCMS Championship game yesterday; Stanley @ Belmont. Stanley won the ballgame 7-3 in a game executed at a very high level for 12-14 year old boys. Great game to watch.

East Gaston, Stuart Cramer and South Point have some studs on the way. Stanley feeds EG and Stuart Cramer while Belmont feeds Stuart Cramer and SP with the possibility of each losing a kid or two to Highland Tech. Given the strength of SP and SC already the next few years for both of those schools on the diamond looks very good. SC does not have a SR on their roster this year.
