Interesting fact: By the end of this year's NFL draft of the 21 public high schools in Charlotte Mecklenburg that offer football, 17 of them will have an active alum on an NFL roster. Six of them with two or more.

The six with two or more; West Meck, Mallard Creek, Chambers, Myers Park, Ardrey Kell and Butler. The four with none; Garinger, East Meck, Palisades and Ballantyne Ridge, with the latter two schools both being brand new schools, less than three years old.

I love the draft just like I love signing day. Just something very cool about seeing hard work pay off for young people. I find it inspiring. Just so much negative out there. I love the scenes of the kids and families celebrating sucess together .
Agreed!

Great topic. Would have been nice to add the schools and the NFL alums. People sleep on NC football. But in actuality its almost a top 5 state in producing NFL talent. Sans CA, TX, FL due to population size you could say NC/GA/OH are the next best producers. But per population size the LA/AL would be the best. The Charlotte area has some dogs in the NFL too.
