Yep. Penalties are a way of life with the kids at Shelby. They looooove arguing calls with referees. And it pisses the refs off more and more to the point they start looking at everything they do.Here's what I will say:
We will spot you 120 yds on penalties. That's just what we do.
If...IF...we play to our potential, even with the penalties, it will be over mid 3rd quarter. Lincolnton is a good team, who I wish was still on our schedule every year. Always a fun game. This year, I'd guess you will be the 6th or 7th best team we've played.. Our schedule has just been stacked, and it will pay off this time of year.

This is the 7 footer's fourth team in four years. He is a Lincolnton kid whose guardians let others handle his decisions. He's home now.
Chill, man. He's entitled to his opinion that we're the best 2A team in the state, meaning all of 2A. Start mentally preparing yourself for some hoops, though.

I haven't seen but one poster for Lincolnton all year until round one. Glad they came out to play. Don't worry Lion, I'll play with you in the sandbox. But beware, I throw sand in your eyes. Gotchu. I don't dispute your perspective, just wondering. East Gaston? If you were there, you would see it as a positive! We got waaaay behind, gathered ourselves and rolled thru them...it was scary, but a thing of beauty before it was over. I think we got a little stronger that night. and neither East Lincoln or South Point dominated us the way you seem to think...a few mistakes can change a game greatly, as you know. The Lions can afford a couple, we can afford none. But if you get sloppy...

i made no prediction that game. SHS Lion was making a point that the game turned out closer than some thought going into that game, some still anticipated a blowout.

7 Surratts? There's not even one more in the whole state. Surratt starts at QB at any high school in North Carolina or South Carolina. Josh Ladowski of Lake Norman last year was the best last year with Surratt directly behind. This year no one comes close. You do have first tier players at many positions and deeper overall than anyone in 2A or 3A.
