Fact is, mask aren't 100% effective just like a vaccine won't be but something is better than nothing. To me it's more about protecting others.
With that said, I did not wear a mask as much early on as I do now. I was stubborn at first until research started coming in.
I bought a bidet after all this mess started because I couldn't find TP, and let me tell you, it's a life changer.
Thunder can you and All Socialist imagine living in a world that because you typed or showed your beliefs in public that a mob would attack you? That is what I witnessed last weekend at a rally of people that just wanted to support there beliefs and was just doing what our constitution allows. Your party did nothing over the last 2 years to stop the violence for political gain!!! You should be ashamed of how many people have been hurt or even killed so you could gain political power. You should also be scared based on the amount of votes cast to the right even with the social media controlling the election. We do not need to beat people up in the streets and burn down buildings while scaring the hell out people with a virus while causing a booming economy to understand what is right!!! The best part is I do not see any need to segregate our country with hate base on race our what class you live in or even forming violent mobs in the streets. You’re right it’s way bigger than football. It’s a matter of life and death and the selfish nature some people have keeps us in this constant circle. Let’s say, and it’s not true, 75% died from rest homes (again I’m just throwing the 75% out), that would still be 1.7 million people not in rest homes dying. But that’s no big deal, right?

Oddly, your screaming let the kids play on the off chance that they earn a scholarship. Only 2.9% of football players play D1 after high school, 1.9% go D2, and 2.5% go D3. So using your logic on mask and applying it here, there’s no point in the other kids playing, they’re not going to catch a scholarship with those percentages, right?

Our educational system is a disaster, our public infanstructure from transportation to energy is in shambles. The middle class is disappearing. It cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to earn a 4 year degree, poverty levels are rising at an alarming rate, we as a country are leading the world in 2 categories - defense spending and prison population. It’s time to take the rose colored glasses off and call a spade a spade. America is no longer great. The things listed above should be inherently more important than your political affiliation, but it’s not, and I’m guilty of it as well. I served my country for 2 decades here and overseas - I care deeply about it, but as it stands, we are toast.

As for me, I wear a mask when I have to or rules apply for me to wear one. I respect others but sometimes when you preach a certain agenda, it seems like there is a deeper agenda to me. When you beg for people to wear masks and state we aren't playing ball at all, it seems like you want that to happen for some reason. Again, maybe I'm assuming but that is what it looks like to me. Coaches should be proactive and teaching your team to be responsible, follow instructions, wear your masks when working out is doing the right thing, and supporting the athlete in hopes of a season. Coming on here and telling parents or kids they only have 1.9% of a college scholarship and kids don't need to play in order to get scholarships if the coach is this or that is well, wrong! A lot of kids (especially guys) do not come into their own until they are seniors and a lot depends on their senior year to prove or see if they are worthy of a scholarship. I've seen guys their soph/junior year not play much and then get a scholarship during the senior year because they have been lifting, running, and finally filling out to be able to compete. Anyway, I hope there is a season for all the kids, parents, and schools that depend on sports to help with money. If not, I will respect the decisions and do what I'm supposed to do in order for this virus to go away (like 100% of all people will). But please, let's stop with all the BS on this page and get back to sports.

College coach once came to visit and told the HS coach, "I know your best player is the 5'8" 200lb LB, but don't tell me about him, that kid will get me fired" LOL. But my little Johnny can play and not playing this year is causing him to lose a scholarship! Right. If he were that good, he would have been offered last year. This will never end til people decide to work on beating Covid instead of fighting with each other over their "values". Peace y'all. Let me have it... LOL
