Best Believe We’ll get some transfers to come in. Not sure what position but we’ll get a few.Interesting storyline for Reidsville is the Qb position as well as the inside linebacker holes
That’s the beauty tho. Other teams losing way more than we are this year. Rams will be just fine I believeInteresting storyline for Reidsville is the Qb position as well as the inside linebacker holes

It's amazing that high schools speak openly about transfers as if it's OK. I guess it is because so many do it?Best Believe We’ll get some transfers to come in. Not sure what position but we’ll get a few.
You can’t help if someone moves in. Not sure why transfers are so taboo on here it’s weirdIt's amazing that high schools speak openly about transfers as if it's OK. I guess it is because so many do it?
It is a problem for programs that don't/can't get transfers. Maybe the NCHSAA or the general assembly since they are taking over should create a division for teams that reload through the "portal."
You'd think people would be more proud of a hometown team that wins it all with homegrown talent but those days are long gone. Today, it's win whatever way you can. "Smoke em while you got em."
I'm pretty sure they don't all move in but that will have to be our little secret. You can’t help if someone moves in. Not sure why transfers are so taboo on here it’s weird
I could not agree more….it’s funny though how some schools get transfers and kids moving in but then call other schools out for having the same thing happenYou can’t help if someone moves in. Not sure why transfers are so taboo on here it’s weird
It's not like the Charlotte, Forsyth County, Guilford County and others. Sometimes families move for whatever reason. Sometimes to get the youngster a better opportunity to advance his career. The college situation is ridiculous.
It's not just Reidsville. Look at Mt Airy and Weddington. I guarantee you there is a fair percentage of their best players that have "moved" in. I'm not sure about Hickory but it would be interesting to know how many transfers (if you could get them to admit it) are on the rosters of teams that won or played for a state championship. It's not like the Charlotte, Forsyth County, Guilford County and others. Grimsley didn't make it but they gave Weddington all they wanted. They too have been the beneficiary of transfers since coach Brown arrived.
As much as I hate to admit it, it's the way it is. Everyone is doing it. Guess I'll go jump off a building.
That's an old argument. Do Reidsville football people really care if a baseball player leaves to go play at Morehead or RC or if a girls bball players leaves? I seriously doubt it.I could not agree more….it’s funny though how some schools get transfers and kids moving in but then call other schools out for having the same thing happen

Not that I am aware of and I could be wrong….actually we had our best year in school history last year during the middle of the Grimsley recruiting when we made it to the 3rd round of playoffs in 4a….I don’t blame other people for getting kids I look in the mirror at our administration and who they hire and that answers most of the questionsThat's an old argument. From your handle i assume you are a NWGuilford fan. Did y'all not lose some kids to Grimsley this past year?
Agreed!!!Your doubts are incorrect. Especially since the people that complain about players going to Reidsville usually turn a blind eye to their own schools transfers.
MA has not had transfers last few years. It's not just Reidsville. Look at Mt Airy and Weddington. I guarantee you there is a fair percentage of their best players that have "moved" in. TGT, you been around awhile, correct? You knew the 69 & 70 state championship teams, correct? Were all those guys homegrown? If not, I'll back off and apologize for even thinking there has ever been any wrong doing but if they were all "Reidsville boys" then I stand by my sentiments.
Reidsville went from 1970 to 2002 without a state championship. No one can argue that one of the key players on that 2002 team was a talented, mobile transfer QB. From that year on the Rams seem to have benefitted from reloading with kids from the outside at key positions.
You among all the posters on this website are the one I respect the most so if you correct me I will humbly accept my correction.
Lol!I can confirm that no one on the 69 or 70 state title team transferred from Rockingham.
That’s a great memory for any player that has done it.Small towns are awesome. When Reidsville wins a championship the buses and fans ride through the town with police escorts with people lining the streets welcoming them home day or night whenever it is! Don’t get that in a large city!

When Flippen ran that RB down is was like WOW … now that’s real speed And 0 😳 come on that’s a grown ass man playing with kids out there 😂.Il say this. 51 for Reidsville balled out. As small as he is going against 10 all game and winning the battle many times. Salute to him. Neal my boy did not disappoint. Lee was lights out . Flippen ran down players to save tds by Clinton. Widerman played hard nosed football.same with Mansfield. Cobb got robbed many times of great plays. Cam Jones Just keeps getting better and Kendre is just a grown man playing against kids. I didn’t mention everyone but this team was a joy to watch all year. Especially playoffs. Congrats to the Graves brothers on coaching staff. I know they put a lot of pride into the season. Those boys are just winners. To coach Erik Teague. What a job and turnaround this season. Hopefully I see you soon to congratulate you. Could be the start to another HOF career. He will only get better at coaching. Can’t wait for my boy to play for these Men.
I was on the 1969 team and that was the year that Reidsville recruited over half of its team (consolidated the two Reidsville high schools) ... neither school had much luck in 1968 but together they were champions. Joking of course, but I don't remember any transfers for either the 1969 or 1970 teams. What is now Rockingham County High didn't have football (Wentworth, Bethany and Ruffin) so Reidsville was pretty much the only football game in town. (Ruffin may have fielded football teams a short while).TGT, you been around awhile, correct? You knew the 69 & 70 state championship teams, correct? Were all those guys homegrown? Is the Bryant kid coming next year from rockinghamI was on the 1969 team and that was the year that Reidsville recruited over half of its team (consolidated the two Reidsville high schools) ... neither school had much luck in 1968 but together they were champions. Reidsville has definitely benefitted from a few transfers over the years ... including a couple of great quarterbacks in Anthony Crews (2002) and Tanner Wilson (2015 and 2016) ... Crews started at QB at Elon as a freshman but a new coach brought his own son in the following year and switched Crews to WR. Wilson never got a chance to play at Appalachian.
One other transfer QB Reidsville had was Khalil Hairston in 2014. There have been a few linemen over the years, a super RB/linebacker in 2016 and then the two Burlington transfers this year. But overall, Reidsville's teams have mostly been home grown - starting out in the youth leagues, then playing on dominant Reidsville Middle School teams.
Tarboro isn’t “ fixing” anything. They will probably win 5-6 of the next 10 state championships, as long as Craddock is there. When Flippen ran that RB down is was like WOW … now that’s real speed And 0 😳 come on that’s a grown ass man playing with kids out there 😂.
No lie Reidsville was impressive !!!
Clinton was clearly a good team but scheme for the offense was terrible. You can’t just line up and run the ball every play … that was the down fall for Tarboro also they had zero passing . Now I have seen the guys sayin that Clinton did have a passing ability but just didn’t use it but Tarboro did not and they really need to fix that and Clinton needed to use it.
Don't count on it but he is quite a talent. Rockingham's program is on the upswing and won the conference middle school championship this year with a win over Reidsville. Is the Bryant kid coming next year from rockingham
Middle school?

Have you seen the videos of those two championship games? Links have been on this website. Thanks for the reply. I knew you'd know about those 69 and 70 teams.
That one linebacker/RB in 16 I think might have helped another team to the south some…I was on the 1969 team and that was the year that Reidsville recruited over half of its team (consolidated the two Reidsville high schools) ... neither school had much luck in 1968 but together they were champions.
