I played in this game too. Against Bunker hill at MA it started snowing right before the game started.
Not only at officials but man let the coaches coach. Parents and fans have a right to feel ever how they wish toward coaches but every other fan and the kids on the sidelines don’t need to hear it non-stop game in game out. Talk about with your neighbor over a cup of hot chocolate but come on. Thankfully Mitchell doesn’t have many of those……right now….

That play at the end zone doesn’t really matter if the referee doesn’t miss the obvious holding call to give them a first down on another play that led to a TD or the other referee moving the ball 3 yards to give Mitchell a first down.
Mitchell fans LOVE to talk about that play in the end zone, but never want to talk about the other 2 plays that led to a Touchdown instead of a turnover on downs. East Surry was the better team, obviously, and it took referees making plays to keep Mitchell in it.

Yeah I looked back at that about the time I posted for some reason never paid attention to it before.
Low pay and silly requirements has set officiating back 20 years. Average age in NC is around 60. Average age of new officials I have seen come in in the last 2 or 3 years is about 50. Not many 20 somethings. I not just talking football.

Maybe they stick with the game and don't chase rabbits ( in our case deer) like we do lol.
I think these new Refs want to be noticed and get to throw flags because they are not up on the rules as they should. Lack of understanding and wanting to be seen throw a flag. They don't realize the game is not about them but the players.
I know you will get mad at me, but you are dead wrong in it being about them. Yes they may throw more flags but I guarantee you most are not thrown to be seen.

I dont guess it would have helped if the refs had called the 15 to 20 times ES was lined up offsides all night either ES cant even win without complaining lol
