I wish Mtn Charter hadn't gotten thrown out with them there was possible scenario of Mitchell playing Andrews again and putting that to rest I believe again just my opinion and we know what they're like that it would have been about like the Swain game, the 14 points Swain scored was basically same D line that played the whole Andrews game plus for other reasons it took them until conference play to really start jellimg.And Starmount beat Andrews 27-20 and Andrews beat Mitchell 26-14 and Mount Airy beat Starmount 43-0 & playoffs in the 44-7

Andrews beat Murphy 22-12 in the last game of the SMC season, then Murphy blows out @1 ER. Heck, Mitchell may beat Mount Airy 38-21 like they did Tville..

My kid was in the huddle when he said he didn't know if he could make it on the second drive he fought on Noah Pitman may not have been the best qb Mitchell has ever seen but I think he is our all time best football player

Noah came to a few heritage baseball games my son was playing when Mitchell had off nights. Is a good young man. Was a great football player as well.
IMO he wasn’t the best player ever in Mitchell history, but probably the most valuable. We had a great run with Ben Young and those guys. No one really knew if we could sustain it. Noah played both ways and was the heart and soul of making us into a program that contends every year. Ty has done a similar job. He’s a tough throw back kid that plays so hard. We’ve been spoiled by these young men. They’re not only great football players but even better people
Only different is Noah did what Ty does and still played D even some special teams if not the best Mitchell player all time, I'd say best all around in the last 20 yrs?
Looking forward to this game in Mount Airy. This will be the best team the bears have seen thus far and I think the same goes for Mitchell. Mitchell wins it late 31-28

If Mt.Airy only scores 21 pts they will lose. Mitchell will score more than a TD but not much more. MA 30 MITCHELL (10-14pts) I see MA limiting Mitchell's QB rushing yards a lot better than most teams have. This could be a big factor in a MA win.
Mitchell vs Mount Airy may be streaming on the local Radio station. I will post the streaming channel tomorrow afternoon or as soon as I find out If coverage is available. NCHSAA has not been listed yet and maybe Friday as they are closed tomorrow. Still showing 11/12/21 games. I have not seen it anywhere yet

I’m getting sick of you throwing Andrews up to Mitchell. First Mitchell made a 3 hr drive to play this game ! That in it self is hard on a team especially it being only the 2nd game of the season ! Second Mitchell played without 3 starting lineman and my opinion is that they probably overlooked Andrews ! Andrews played the 2nd half of season with their two starting backs beat all to crap and lost to Cherokee by 3. The Cherokee team that beat Robbinsville. Andrews got beat by Robbinsville by 10 and Swain by 9. Do you know that Andrews beat Murphy by 10 ? The Murphy team who crushed the #1 team last week. This throwing up Mitchell getting beat by Andrews is BS. MA has not played a tough team after making a 3 hour drive without 3 key players so stop throwing that crap up ! You just keep believing since they lost to Andrews that your team is going to win for that reason !! I feel it's more disrespectful towards Andrews than it is Mitchell. The Wlidcats were a solid team this year. It was a huge win for them, and then to beat Murphy... great season for the Wildcats. To use them as a derogatory remark against Mitchell constantly is crap.
I think he is trying to say Andrews beat Mitchell and Starmount beat Andrews. MA beat Starmount 87-7 in 2 games. Point is Starmount was a pretty good team that MA beat twice. MA played several games with 4 starting linemen out as well as two studs in #8 and #32 and had one of kids dad's pass away. Look Mitchell is dam good but to discredit MA for schedule they played is BS we get tired of that crap too. 666 points and give up 25 is dang good idc who you play.
Anybody who doesn't play in the smc plays a crappy schedule.
Mt airy needs to worry about Mt Airy they have one task at hand if they want to play next week and that's beat Mitchel and gain some much needed respect they've never done that before and the burden is on them to perform tomorrow night to get it done I could give a crap about Andrew's or anyone else Mitchel has played this year like I've said before Mt Airy is the underdog in this match-up until that is accomplished they have never beaten a Mitchel Co team

Football and this game fails to be all that important when we face such life and death situations.
For me, today is about enjoying my family, my loved ones and praying for those in peril.

I just seen MA was finishing up there last.practice bf Fridays game. Beautiful crisp cold morning down here in the flat lands.
You MA fans keep saying "no respect". Mount Airy has been a staple in 1a football for decades, the Bears are one of the teams you expect to be good. Hell fire, they are just 3 years removed from a state championship appearance. MA has always had respect on thus board, and this year's team has that same respect. What everyone can't stand is the constant stream of diarrhea that the fans spew from their fingertips. In 2019, when East Surry fans were doing the same thing, yall were the very first to call them out on it. Now, they seemed humble compared to Mount Arrogance fans. Sure, 666-25 is nothing to sneeze at. But the fact of the matter is, they haven't played ANYONE with a pulse. It took the NWNC's 2nd best team overtime and a prayer to beat the 5th or 6th best team in WNC. Those are the facts. Mount Airy hasn't played anyone anywhere near the level of Lake Norman, Broome, Rabun County, Asheville, Watauga. Facts. If Robbinsville, Mitchell and Murphy had played North Stokes, Elkin, and North Surry every week, they would have the big numbers too. Remember, MA and Mitchell have 1 common opponent, Draughn, and they both played a similar game. In all of this I'm saying, don't expect to "gain" respect if MA wins tomorrow, the respect was already there. Learn some friggin humility. Be humble, because if you lose, I promise, no one is going to take it easy on you. Those big mouths will be stuffed full of purple crow.
