Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!!!
For the past three years, MAs playoff losses have resulted in being beat at the LOS. This year will be no different. This is a bigger (maybe stronger OL) but we have not faced a big strong DL or OL. Hope our guys up front are ready!
Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you Mitchell guys have a happy day after as well.

Buzz if starmount is the best team you’ve played all year, then Mt. Airy is in trouble. There is no denying the fact that Mt Airy hasn’t played anyone. You can run that mouth all you want to and talk that team up, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. If you beat Mitchell tomorrow, nobody will question that Mt Airy is for real but they are about to expose your weaknesses regardless. You Mt. Airy fans run them mouths and then ask why everyone talks crap about Mt Airy. The reason why is because of you and your fellow Mt Airy posters. Have some class dude.
Happy Thanksgiving. Oven, Smoked, or Deep Fried Turkey. Deep Fried for me. Inject the Turkey with some Creole Butter put a thin layer of mustard on it and then the rub let it sit overnight. Deep fry for about 1hr or little longer.

Love deep fried we started back when you had to order everything from a specialty catalog before you buy the fryer and all anywhere. I first thought my brother was going to ruin my Thanksgiving turkey.

Appvol, I went out on a limb a couple of years ago and bought a CharBroil Big Easy. Basically an air fryer. I love it, taste just like my deep fried ones. And a heck of a lot safer and cheaper.
And I just looked over the board and haven't seen an actual Mitchell fan saying Mitchell would win big over MA just the opposite. As far as MA schedule I've seen some folks from other schools bring up more the any Mitchell and no more then amd probably less the MA fans or others like every board concerning Mitchell the Andrews game comparing scores well I can do that on both sides and by the way after the Mitchell/Andrews game Swain beat Andrews 21-12 and then Mitchell beat Swain 49-14 so I'm not to concerned about score comparisons, honestly about the only person who could come on here and do any kinda comparison would be the coach of Draughn who seen both up close but I don't think we'll hear from him.
But I've seen you argue with Robbinsville fans more then Mitchell's. They can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the actual Mitchell folks on this board does respect the MA team no matter who've they played 25 points allowed over 13 games is impressive.
Yeah I have looked at those. I have a old Bass Pros electric turkey fryer that’s still kicking . Don’t have to worry about a open flame.
Mitchell will score 28+ the deciding factor is will the bears?

The actual fans of MA and Mitchell have been pretty civil. It's the outsiders that like to stir the pot. They should be worried about their teams

He’s better than most of em I’d say. Something across the board needs to happen. For one thing they need better pay, and they should find people that at least have watched football or basketball before. Honestly we had a dude show up to ref games last year in basketball. From here, that probably hadn’t seen a game until the first one he reffed
Playoff they usually send them from other areas I heard. We got some really bad ones from over toward the SMC last week that left their glasses at home. Bad calls both ways.
The pay needs to be better, absolutely. There is a nationwide shortage though. So sometimes you get what you can. Many sports like soccer and basketball have a hard time even getting a 3 man crew. Soccer teams have to adjust schedules all the time to allow officials to do a middle school game then come to a high school game. That's happening in baseball/softball too.
What needs to stop is blantant abuse of officials from fans and coaches. Stop that then people will be more likely to do it. No one deserves to put up with the crap officials put up with on a job that isn't even their full time job.
I know this was a few days back but just noticed something. I was thinking about Mitchell 1987 team they just came off the 86 team which we've talked about the first game that Mitchell/ MA played that Mitchell squeaked that probably the deepest we had been in the playoffs we were feeling pretty good about the team while didn't score a lot no one scored on them. Mitchell and Sylvia Webster their last season was representing the WHC Mitchell a high seed was hosting Bunker Hill in 1st round like I said no one scored on this team Bunker Hill 54-12 it was kinda like the Murphy/ER game. Don't believe Mitchell would have beaten MA that year MA beat Sylvia Webster in the last football game the school ever played 34-14 then beat Newton conover ( who knocked out Mitchell the year before) 35-29 and then meet Bunker Hill (who beat Starmount 59-27) in the 3rd round..MA won 37-0 then lost to Thomasville 28-0 who lost the 2A championship to Whiteville 14-12.
A lot of familiar names.
I agree, I also remember the abuse being worse in the 80s and 90s and the officiating being better. The pay hasn’t changed significantly in a long time. No one should ever get so emotional about a high school game that they threaten people who are usually doing the best they know how.
