I believe I quoted the wrong comment but as to the question of how many will show up? To be honest I don't know. Before covid I'd definitely say your visitor side won't hold us all , last time we went to Murphy for the playoffs which is a little further and lot more curvy ride there wasn't enough seats for everyone the East Surry game we was packed as well and I've seen numerous times (not playoffs) that we've outnumbered the home side fans, at the 2015 championship game we had 7,500+ we only have 15,000 in the whole county, Mitchell has always traveled well.SRO, And you know the stadium.

But the home crowd has been down this year and definitely the away crowd and I assume due to covid could be other factors as well like the Lake Norman game was last minute some of the away games you just knew wouldn't be a contest, you can stream more games now, while there was looked like a good crowd at Mtn Heritage not sure about Watauga but for whatever reason they've been down so I don't know this game could be more like the past if so Mt Airy will the best gate they've had all year but according to NFHS the game will be streamed which is a little tempting.

WOW, I would love to come to this game but it seems so much colder down there with that river so close when I am cold in the house at 72 degrees. You can't see the river but it runs behind the whole high school maybe by 2 football fields away then behind the scoreboard and visitor's field house. As a kid, we used to go fishing on that river at a place called round rock a little southwest of Proctor Silex. It can be seen from the walking trail but looks a little different now than about 55 to 60 years ago.

I just found out Deerhunter & Purple1995 are still deer hunters out hunting today and some are my age. LOL.... Purple1995 even has a son we need not talk about playing. Heck the good thing about this week is we get a day or two off and are able to enjoy some good food with our families and watch two great games on Friday.
Why dont we just leave the chest pounding off here and do that at 730pm fri? Possibly after the game that would make for a better Thanksgiving week let those 17 and 18 year olds decide it, lol, that way neither side gets jinxed

That's my thoughts also. All this chest-pounding by non-players can get back to these young boys and get them hurt. Of course, the coaches need to be the ones to get them motivated to play hard. I would bet you don't repeat what is said on here to your son. May be wrong. LOL

I can sure tell the difference on this thread from the Mitchel vs Thomasville one, lol!? Mitchel and MA sound like very competitive schools and have great athletes, but are you all rivals?? Everyone seems to know each other or at least talk like you do? Or is this the first time you played? Hard for me to try and catch up on all these western schools history in one fall season. I followed the SMC first snd I kinda figured that out but I wasn’t sure if these schools were in same league or not? The SMC schools always talk like Mitchel is like them. And MA plays in a league with 2A schools? Or do you both? Just curious trying to catch up on all this?
