MAC week 3.....

I like both Stadiums. I think they are both very nice along with Cherokee but the back drop of the school on the visitors side at Asheville sells it for me. The stadium is huge and is very nice.

Think North Henderson has best stadium in state. The atmosphere is incredible and the field conditions after rain are outstanding. Both teams come off the field looking like they've been mud wrasslin instead of playing football. When you add the fan support you just can't beat it.

Plus the announcer never announces who wins the Home Side vs Visitor Side cheering contests at half time, it's real bush league over there!

I forgot about him. Does he still play at FLorida International? He reminded me of Darius Spencer from Reynolds who signed with ECU in 2007. Dowdle is on a different level as a D1 recruit as I remember Jackson was on the smaller size. Dowdle is a legit 205lbs and probably the best offensive player to ever come through Reynolds.

That is true. He was small but very explosive. I believe he still plays at FAU.

I am bias but I really like the atmosphere at stadiums like Erwin and Pisgah much more because of the lack of a track. I feel like I am mile away at Asheville. It seems dark too. It is a beautiful stadium though. I think Cherokee has the nicest stadium I have ever seen in NC.

I think Cherokee is very nice but when you have casino money you can do anything.

I also like Erwin stadium because it reminds me of Ole Shuford field. You are right on top of the action and I also hate the track.

Asheville's stadium may hold more fans but Pisgah's is more fan friendly. For one thing there's more parking. Its all flat. No hills or steps to climb to get in the stadium. Concessions and bathrooms on both sides. Big grassy area for the kids to play.

After visiting Memorial Stadium for the first time as a fan and not a player this year, I really like that place. Concessions and bathrooms are as close to your seat as the bathroom and kitchen are to the recliner at your house. You have to do a little bit of walking, but the stadium is still pretty accessible. Also, Little Pigs BBQ is across the street and it is awesome.

That is true. You can literally hear what the players are saying if you are near the field. I have seen the cheerleaders get mowed over many times at Erwin because of how close it is.

Pisgah Bears, I stated earlier that I'm glad the kid is playing because I want to see Pisgah play Asheville with all of their players. I suggest Pisgah fans get there early or go to the gate on the front entrance side of the school. The line beside the gym was very long and moved slow from what I could tell when we played Franklin. There was still a long line at that visitors gate well into the first quarter.

Well since we're not gonna talk football anymore and instead talk about stadiums and what not.........
I think Erwin has the best nachos in the state of North Carolina but their restrooms suck. Reynolds has the coldest (tooth busting cold) drinks in the south. Asheville by far has the best stadium, but it would be nice if they'd put doors on the toilet stalls. It sucks having to take a dump while little kids are running in and out pointing and laughing at you.

That was going my question, which gate would be better for the visitors to use. If ya ya like being on top of the action go out to Big Oaks stadium for Robbinsville. You can hear the coaches call the plays.

Game plan for the next time one of those little turds laugh at you.
Take nutella into the bathroom with you, then hide the toilet paper. Ask if the child can give you some assistance by getting you some toilet paper. Reach out with hand covered with nutella and smear the nutella on the child's hand as he hands you the toilet paper.... Kid will never laugh at someone on the porcelain pony again.

You must have not used the restrooms above the home side at Erwin. They are huge and very clean. The other one sucks though. I can't believe we are debating crappers now! Hahaha

If it closer than Erwin you would be standing on the field with the players.

Big Oaks is. In the end zones you can almost reach out and touch the goal posts. Scoreboard side. I watched Robbinsville - Heritage game. Rocket man and I were literally talking to the kids on the field and it was dual conversation. Not one way talk.

It's hard to compare teams based on who they play without knowing about football in the area. Riverdale beat Ooltewah 9-5, then lost last week 34-27 to a Franklin team that lost their opener 20-0 to Centennial. Centennial lost last week 49-6 to Independence, who is in Franklin's conference. What all that means.... I don't know.

Kind of runs in a circle and back around again, but Erwin is a good team and them winning against a 5A school from that state to the west wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Riverdale was probably the premier program in 5A football in Tennessee in the 90's and early 2000's. They have fallen off some since Blackman opened and split up some of Murfreesboro's athletes, but they still have some really good years.

BDwarrior, Erwin is colossal compared to Big Oaks. Away side bleachers(old school metal and some wood) are about ten rows tall. You've got just enough room to pass by someone walking in front of them. Then the fence. The players just barely fit on the sideline. If you get hit running up the visitors sideline you hit the fence or take out your teammates.

Why should we talk football? Y'all done beat Pisgah.
People were asked to give their predictions bigbear'10, and everyone did just that. I don't think anyone here has been disrespectful to you or any Pisgah coach or player. Ya'll have just as much of a chance to win Friday night as we do. I just happen to think it won't happen. I've been wrong before.

Game plan for the next time one of those little turds laugh at you.

Man, that literally made me spit my copenhagen all over the keyboard. Can you imagine what the ladies in the concession stand would say if they saw you walking out of the restroom cinching up your pants and licking Nutella off your fingers? lolol

Not sure why everyone keeps talking about Erwin. Erwini s still a second tier team until they actually win something. I'm just glad they havea tougher schedule instead of playing a weak schedule. Until Erwin can beat the cougars they should not be mentioned in the same conversation. Just stating the facts. Ric Flair said in order to be the man you have to beat the man. Enough said.

You do realize Erwin has in fact beaten Asheville in the last few years right? Sure wasn't Asheville's best team ever but it has happened.

Something doesn't smell right. Asheville, Erwin, and Reynolds guys all talking about football and actually getting along and then some new guy shows up from outta nowhere and starts talking smack. Ya'll go ahead. I ain't taking the bait. lol

Oh the reaction would be glorious. You would be the new hero of the Asheville high football bathrooms. They may even hang up a picture of you to signify your immortality.

You might want to get your facts correct. Erwin has beaten Asheville once in the last couple of years. Do your research. No need to get up set. I do believe 10 straight conference titles says it all. Guess what we have to playi n November.

We beat Asheville twice in the same year... Who let you off the playground? Run along and let the big boys play.

Actually they beat us twice. Last game of the regular season in 2012 and the very next game in the playoffs.

Okay. Whoopi. Good for them. Everyone on this post understands what I'm saying. Erwin got rid of the cup schedule and guess what they loss. Erwin will never get respect until they can get to the top of the mountain. I will make sure to send the Erwin fans a post in November when you come to the cougar dome. Take that to the play ground.

Cougar90, seems we both have a lot of confidence in our respective teams. If Pisgah won't turn over the ball and get dumb penalties. I believe we'll have a decent chance to beat the Cougars.

Thanks for post but I don't think so.

Lol where did this guy come from? Erwin did beat us twice. We had a garbage team that year but they did in fact beat us. As for Friday, if pisgah is gonna have a chance against Asheville they are going to need some help either from Asheville turning the ball over or the refs

I always liked going to Mitchell, the view from the visitor's side was always amazing. East Rutherford also use to cook what appeared to be hand patted hamburgers on the visitor's side, which was odd and nice at the same time. I like a lot of places; I'm just glad we all, for the most part have nice places to watch football at.

Oh and by the way better not overlook N.B. this year. The new kid they have as WR is fast. Thrash will get his catches but keep your eye on #4.

They can toss it around pretty good this year. They got tired in the 3rd qtr and started dropping balls. Plus NB's d-line got tired late. Once they get in game shape they have a good chance to make some noise.
