Used to be an intimidating place to play in the 80s. Program was second to none back then. Biggest upset i ever saw was when Bobby wray ran all over yall in the rain. Nobody had white oak beating yal that night. We sat on the visitors side. They didn't even know the magnitude of what they had done!I guess JK is on their way down to the Wolf Den. Get their early that place will be packed. For those folks coming from JK, their is a Bo Jangles, Burger King, Mack Donalds, and a Arby's before you turn off 701 on to 74-76 at the 2nd stoplight to go to Legion Field. about a mile on the left. Can't miss it. Be safe.
Mainly in the 80s, say about 85 on, it seemed our season would always end at u guys. The roar of the crowd was deafening. We lost 28-7 one night and brother that was a cold night. One of our best games was a game we lost 10-6. Helluva battle. Always thought that was the program we needed to be. We finally got to that status with Holly- and particularly with joey price. Good luck to u guysI remember going to Fuqua Varina with Terry Paige and company, in 1982 The Bengals had a very good D one of the best in the state, but Paige ran for over 300 yards and the Pack went on to lose to Randleman in the 2A state championship at Legion Stadium.
That’s weird. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that. Especially in a playoff game.Running clock in 1st half dam
So you think JK is going to play Whiteville the same way they played EB? If you do then you don't have a clue about JK football. And comparing scores doesn't work, if a different situation with every opponent
I have seen better schemes of offense in pee wee league than what I have seen tonight. This waz a beat downReally surprised at JK lack of offense considering some of their fans optimism with their offensive scheme.
I remember that game verry well. I still think that team was better than the 87 State championship team.Used to be an intimidating place to play in the 80s. Program was second to none back then. Whiteville was great, I can't take anything away from them, but they didn't play against the same JK team that played WRH. We had too many players missing tonight and it really hurt, especially on the defensive side of the ball. But I think Whiteville's defense is good enough to get them to state. I really can't say about their offense because we were missing too much on defense. Good luck the rest of the way.I could not understand why JK kept all those big boys on the bench. Man they were big and looked great on the hoof. Our pass D looked great tonight without one of our best players on defense. Tyler Hamonds out for year with a knee injury, but our defense really stepped it up about 2 notches and the offense was lights out running the ball. Only threw the ball twice for about 80 yards and a TD. We hardly throw because we average about 400 yards a game on the ground, but can throw if we have to. I have been telling everybody that our defense is one of the best in the state. Ask JK what they think. They played hard but could not match up with us. Like they say offence wins games but defense wins championships and that is a fact.
You will get it back next year. I figured something was up because i would have had those big boys on the line on offence and defense. Your lines just weren't strong enough.Whiteville was great, I can't take anything away from them, but they didn't play against the same JK team that played WRH. Not sure but i think 5Did JK even have a first down?
What excuse?Give up with the excuses you lost go home and come back next year, You’ve been there before act like it.
