Continue to keep the western part of the state in your thoughts and prayers. If there is anything you can do to help, please do.

I believe I read where the NCHSAA is meeting to discuss scheduling, so the week 6 games may get pushed to the end but who knows.

I'm hearing but just a rumor can't confirm it that y'all's Western brethren are throwing a fit not wanting to play tomorrow night 🤣. And turn around Saturday and play Bunker Hill. Heard they're kicking and screaming the whole way to Maiden 🤣

My families home is way closer to Maiden than Crouse/Vale.

I get the mountain are was truly devastated and I'm in way better shape than people up there. But more locally I feel like Duke power got caught sleeping. I really think they could of had a better game plan and executed it better. I mean ur fix a line and move on because u see a few lights on, instead of driving through the whole area to see if us in the very back have power.

Hope you get power, soon. We take conveniences for granted until they're not available...Oh, by the way, get set for more aggravation: this morning I went over to the Food Lion across the river where the West Lincoln people shop. They said if I saw AMD, tell him because of his unforgiveable breach of courtesy, meaning the kicking and screaming comment (see above) and especially for saying they were brothers to us kindly Lincolnton sorts (see above), they have decided to give you a taste of real West Lincoln justice, that means they're going to tear down your mailbox.

That "brethren" label sort of stuck in my craw as well. You got 2 mailboxes?

AMD, AAW has a very nice golf cart. He’ll probably tie a rope to the entire structure, attach it to the back of the cart and yank it completely out of the ground.
would do it for him but don’t think my Prius has enough pull. Tell you what it is good at, going slow.

LOL, hey, last week, the morning after the storm, the police were directing traffic at one of the busy intersections due to the stoplights being out. One of the officers was a young lady and I noticed how neat, straight, smart and professional she looked in her uniform. As my line of traffic was going through she looks at me, holds her hands out, turns her palms upward and lets her mouth hang a gape. I thought to myself, "I'm going, I'm going, don't be grouchy, give an old man a break, darn it,"

If I'd have come through there in one of you crash mobiles wonder what she'd have thought, LOL. Probably have arrested me, and said something real snippy like, "D@mn1t Methuselah, get out of the car"... Anyway, they did have a mess and you have to move cars along without delay, so I can see what she meant, and appreciate what they were doing.
