Tough picks this week. Don’t know if y’all looked at Grizz’s playoff projections but this week’s games will really shake it up depending on who wins and loses. Lincolnton and East Burke ain’t in….yet!…but a win for them could really make things interesting.

I’ll take Maiden over West Caldwell… I figure Maiden drops a couple, even if they win, in the RPI standings.
Newton is in currently and must beat East Burke to stay in. It’s already getting tight! Boys!😂 East Burke has to win to have any chance…that’s my opinion… but I’m sticking with it. It appears that Newton’s defense is prone to giving up rushing yards as evidenced by Lincolnton having 2 rushers that went over 100 yards last week….East Rutherford ate ‘em up too! I see East Burke having success running the ball against Newton. Will it be enough? I see Newton having success in the air. Will it be enough? This is going to be a great game…I think… high scoring as well. I’ll take Newton in a barn burner.
Lincolnton hung with Bunker Hill. Bandys hung with West Lincoln. I just don’t know who is the better team in this game….it’s a daggum tough pick😂

The Johnnys are really good at what they do. The Bears just keep winning. What a great game for our conference. If you’ll recall…this game went to OT last year. I could see that happening again. Imma take West Lincoln simply due to how effective their lineman are on the offensive side of the ball. We’ll see!
Good luck to all the CVAC teams…can’t say enough how enjoyable it is to have so many close games week in and week out in this conference.

MC, you sound like a sportscaster. Maiden’s own version of Keith Jackson. I could see you doing one of his lines just before a Notre Dame at UT in Knoxville showdown that ABC carried back in the 1970's. As the Volunteers were taking the field, he said “For those of you in the north who do not know what that is, it is a Bluetick Hound Dog”, a reference to Tennessee’s mascot, Smokey. I know you could do it.
AMD, you know how sometimes we have these peculiar thoughts about what might could have been possible. I was just imagining how you and GrizzlyDevil and me might have been business partners in the car crashing business, the demolition circuit.
See, GrizzlyDevil, is an engineer so he understands Newtonian stuff like mathematical laws concerning stress, force, speed and inertia along with various Chaos theories, so we could have this special demolition car built with the constitution of a military tank. Not only would it keep you safe, it would still comply with the rules (What a twisted contradiction, rules for a demolition derby)…Anyway, all you’d have to do is drive it, since you have the experience.
We could call ourselves the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, like the western…If you’re wondering who the ugly is, that would be me, I’m over seventy, now, but frankly, I didn’t look too damn good when I was in my twenties, either. It's a 4x4 steel tube with heavy grade grate welded in front of my radiator. And the guy who owns this show I'm doing Saturday charges between $20-$30 a ticket and avgs 8,000 to 10,000 spectators. And then there is merchandise and concessions
I agree with Mr. Lincolnton's assessment of your communication ability on the games. Your passion for these teams is evident with each post you make, whether its for your team or any team within the CVAC. As your team gets a breather this week, there is no glory or benefit in playing the team you have to play. You only hope to keep it respectable and keep your players injury free. I feel the West Lincoln at Bunker Hill game could be one of the best games of the year. Neither team can make a mistake and turn it over.
Will say one thing don’t sleep on BH offensive line they are way better then people think
A bit off topic, but a friend of mine informed me that Lincolnton Middle School defeated Kings Mountain yesterday. Sounds like there are some players in the pipeline.

I want you to know something though, at the risk of boasting, let me say that I have the capacity to live in a multi-million dollar home, at anytime. All I have to do is sign over my modest house and my social security check and my assets would be whisked away to this expensive structure. It's called the Nursing Home. There, I'd have a hard bed, a small TV and a young executive in a business outfit wearing designer eyewear and painted up like Blanche DuBois who refers to me in the third person... Didn't want the posters to think I was a prideful, but just wanted you to know my capabilities.

A friend who is a resident (resident, GMADB) and my age, had somebody to bring him a beer and a catfish sandwich. This administrative person came to his room, told him he violated rule 4 by having hard drink on premises and rule 11 by creating a disturbing and disgusting spectacle for staff and others by being in the hallway in his drawers and A-shirt (an undershirt without sleeves). She told him he was barred from the commons area (Bingo, checkers and such) for 3 days...

I like how the models each week appear to be confused by the Lincolnton Wolves. Will they win in a squeaker? Lose a one score game? Or get their doors blown off? Nothing is off the table with this team.

Yes, my friend, I think I can. It might take me a minute but I believe so. If I don't, sure hope you'll get my attention. My eyes aren't what they used to be and some days they're worse than others. I take it that you'll be around the field house, so that should make it easier.
Now, if you meant "not recognizing you", by snubbing you, that will NEVER happen, to you or anyone else. I think, doing that is how an old man gets himself into the infernal region.
Looking at Bandys Stats on MaxPreps, the only thing that looked certain is they're going to pass. I did notice they will run if they can, but their passing numbers is what stands out.
I was hoping they had not faced a team that passes very much, but South Caldwell would throw often.
Honestly, I really don't know what Lincolnton will do. last week we ran the ball, often. Maybe we are looking to see what they'll give us. Just hope so badly that we don't give up a bunch of points early, then frantically try to catch up, like against North Lincoln. That's a remedy for disaster.
