In all seriousness the term applies to a person or entity that never strives to improve and be better. Someone who doesn't care about the outcome of an event in life. Someone who doesn't wanna put the work into the process of success
Thank you, my friend. That's a well thought-out sensible definition, and frankly, it's reassuring.
I can never be a loser because the Lord in his goodness made me a happy person by nature. If it wasn't for such a great blessing I'm afraid that I might be the quintessential loser.
Once in awhile I get reminded of this. Around 6 PM, I stepped out on my front porch and saw a typical looking brown parcel, there. I've been looking for an item that had been ordered off the internet.
Feeling kind of excited I took it into my kitchen and opened it, but nothing was in it. Someone had sent me an empty box. Right then, I was reminded, again, that if it were not for blessings and dumb luck that I might be the consummate loser. I wondered if the sender was trying to make a statement about self-worth... An empty box !
Maybe the delivery driver wanted the contents of the box more 🤷🏼♂️😂
Oh no ! didn't see that one. And them having to play Bunker Hill this week. Maybe I shouldn't have asked.

I never said Maiden was "bad, poorly-coached" team at all. I just don't think they are as dominate as they have been, and honestly I wouldn't imagine you or others think otherwise as well. I never said they would get smashed by WL as I said it could go either way. I did say they were smashed by Watauga as it sounds like they may be a pretty good team this year, but typically they are not that strong of a team even if they are 4A.
I think the WL vs Maiden game will be a good game that really can go either way. And I'll say it again...if you are gauging any CVAC teams that played Foard and SS to win 2 games, well, not sure you know exactly where your team stands. Everyone was jumping on the Trojan wagon last week, and they finally played someone and lost. Maidens only competition of the year was Watauga, and they lost. So, my "not sold on Maiden or Bandys" is validated to this date. If I'm wrong at the end, I'll admit it. I'm a CC guy and always pull for CC teams, especially BHS and MHS.

I would imagine Bunker Hill, WL, and Maiden built on what they have done over the last few years. Bandys, in my opinion, is not close to any of those teams. Friday night, the Trojans proved that as they lost to WL at home. Still not there yet, but they are getting closer...

Unfortunately I'll be at most of the Bandys games for family so I won't get to see my Blue Devils much.
Should be 3 really good games this Friday.
Bandys front 7 are not very big or fast which doesn't bode well when facing teams that are big and run the ball. From what I hear East is the biggest team upfront in the conference which could be a problem. Bandys will need to put up a lot of points when facing competitive teams, which they are capable of doing, but with their youth comes some mistakes and sloppiness. I think East Burkes size and experience will be the difference maker.
West Lincoln looks like West Lincoln. That triple option is tough to defend. They have a good combination of speed and power in the back field with #4 and #30. They looked tough against the run but struggled defending the pass. I think Maiden takes advantage of that and squeaks one out.

I get your take on Maiden schedule...so then what do you make of WL schedule?

Okay, I will bite. Is it because last year's team jumped out to such large leads that Byrne went more generic vanilla in terms of scheme and this year the team is running its offense more late into the game?
Last year 2 of 4 first games were 2 possession games this year had some bigger margins of victory

Fred t Foard we scored more against this year but scores were comparable. Watauga last year offense played whole game in a nail biter. This year bigger loss margin. Saint Stephens last year was 29-19 so it was 2 possession margin offense played all game. This year saint Stephens blow out. East burke last year and this year somewhat comparable scores
Uh, got anymore comments about rushing teams, there, AMD ?
My comment was accurate we rush the ball more than we pass the ball. So in that definition we are a running team. If we threw the ball 35 times and ran it 20 times a game we would be a passing team 😂😂
I'm not taking issue with you, here, but just for the sake of debate, is running more than passing a correct definition of a run team ? I don't know, To me, East Burke and South Point are run teams meaning they rarely pass. Consider this, couldn't there be another category maybe like a run to set up the pass type of offense. It's easy to assume that passing, typically, will get you a bigger chunk of yardage than rushing, at least in most cases.
Last Friday, Maiden had almost twice the yardage in passing as they did in rushing. Just wondered if they didn't use the run to set up the pass because EB was a tough line to get by.

Got to concede on this one. Think you got it right, last night, or was it this morning, when you said “We’re a run first”.
I think East Burke is gonna give Bandys all they want. I’ll take Bandys and their passing game to pull it out in a very close game.

Ok looks like the East Burke guys have packed it in 😂. So I figure the East Burke boys have probably packed up for the season. If east burke QB/CB was playing I think they could of beat bandy's and even without him I think they will push bandy's to the edge. But bandy's wins with passing ability. Walking the razors edge win running the ball to win. Bandy's wins.

Now maiden and West Lincoln. West Lincoln is a very disciplined team that has the fundamentals down. Maiden knows the formula to beat them they just have to execute it without mistakes. I got maiden winning after getting west out of there gameplan.

I'm pretty sure the East Burke injury was their RB/CB....it was just one of their plays where he was at QB. Their QB is fine.
I'm referring to kj Byrd. If he's out definitely hurts them he's lightning to thunder for them

No just frustrated with not being at full strength. It does take a toll on your team when you don’t have the weapons that you need that you had before to compete. This conference is so tough you need all the pieces of the puzzle to win nowadays it seems like East Burke issues has been no experience quarterback for the last three years, but we’ve got to work on that for the next couple years. if you look at Coach, he is a run first, but in his other schools that he has been to before he has had a thousand yard passer and one was a 2000 yard passer but you got to go with what you been deal with!! we’ve came a long ways from three years ago, but we just do not have the athlete. Some of these other schools have been blessed with.
Think KJ might be out for the year that hurts because he can do everything!!
I just hope he ain’t down enough to miss track. Surely not. Fraley will be back in 2 weeks and IF he stays injury free he will make a difference in defense and in the Wideout game. Not saying he’s the savior of the program but he is a huge part of their flash. What flash they have left.
And huge reason Dellinger leads the conf in rushing is Patton game(who couldn’t build stats against them) and Draughn game and Buff and KJ being out. Heck of a RB and we need him to stay healthy but dang he gets tired he’s human and we are run first run predominantly.
Any word on Coble? If he’s too hurt to run against Bandys we’re in trouble. He’s our ace in the hole power back for our 1 yard needs on 4th down which will be a deciding factor in these games along with a kicker. I wasn’t at the Maiden game, do we have a XP kicker now?

Have not heard coble should be ok but they are trying not to wear Dillinger out early but he is a stud for his size!! Couple good JV RB that are Somp are options too!!Tough to call plays with not a full group there but we can hope for the best!! a weak conference, we will be OK but not this conference for sure !!
