Well let me just say Maiden is a great community to live in that could offer your family some great benefits. Nice housing friendly people. A newer school with nice amenities. Low taxes. Just on the football side we will have a big line. Two good receivers and possibly three. A 6'5 TE or WR depending on where we put the Tennessee kid at. And possibly a double trouble running back combo. But this ain't necessarily about football this is about a community that would be welcoming and would love to have y'all here and y'all would love to live here I believe.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not to mention that army coaches stop by all the time which could be a good fit for your son's style. And mack brown tends to stop by every now and then. And they will need somebody to throw to Chris Culver when Drake Maye goes to the draft next year. And we have a coach that's pretty successful at coaching quarterbacks

What in the heck would a kid that’s actively being recruited, with FCS and FBS offers need to transfer to maiden for? One would think that this would warrant the people wanting to “move “ as you say to Valdese. Heck I honestly have only been to maiden once so logistically a 45 min drive one way to play football is absurd. Stay home and finish what you started 😂😂😂. #politicianVoice

And honestly Stover could be good, we never really seen him play QB. He's got size, he's strong fast and athletic. In mop u duty last season he went 4/6 with 1 TD and 1 int. But we just hand the ball of in mop up duty. He does have one thing sunshine didn't have a maiden mentality. But coach Byrne's did a hell of a job fixing sunshine because Ashe county broke him. If he had been at maiden from get go the endless possibilities. Even still Ethan Rhodes was a better QB and better at reading defense and making decisions.
Honestly that kid would fall more in the right timeline with other pieces 🧩 if everything comes to fruition 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I like the move to turf. It will save a lot of time during the summer for coaches.
If Lincoln Charter gets football I am afraid that will be extremely detrimental to schools in our area, depending on who they give the head job to of course. I was driving around the courthouse downtown the other day and noticed multiple "Register Now!" LC signs around the courthouse. East and North can afford to lose a few kids to LC, but Lincolnton and West? That would not be good for either of us both academically or athletically.
EB won another track match. Strong showing with speed and strength I heard!!
Glad to the see sports this spring EB sports teams doing better. I think this fall Cavs football with be the best it has been in years .Kids are getting stronger and faster The team only lost a few players from last year's team that had Bunker hill down by 20 in the four quarter beat a Awesome Daughn team had Lincolnton beat till late and put over 30 points in the second half on a great Maiden Team with starters in that game!!Hoping for the best Coach Minor has got this team believing it can win Break out year I hope for the East Burke group!!
Oh this year I can see Conf champs, Regional Champs, maybe not winning state but making their presence known espacially winning their very first state championship(In Indoor Track) in anything since school built in 1973
Another track meet down at Bunker Hill. BH showing they will have the most speedy athletes on that football field above all teams but EB will have enough to make a statement. EB won the meet in smooth fashion. Linemen coming up are strong and can do something in shot/disc.
We better soak it up best we can as Cav fans cause AFTER next year it’s may not be looking good for men sports in general. I hope that’s not the case but EB middle don’t have anything coming up that sticks out just looking at track results. We’ll see lol

I've lots of thought on the Charter School, none of them are edifying. As such, I'll try and keep them to myself, lol. Apparently, the old adage about " you can't hide money", applies. I'd feel better if it weren't money ripped from Public schools.
Combine, at least, is a privately funded private school!
On another note, the turf project should be beneficial for several programs. We are hoping that our campus might actually finally get a softball facility. We are the only school in the County without one.
Our track program has been neglected for years and needs a total revamp. It could be a great asset to football and other sports under the right direction. Historically, extremely low priority. Hoping that may change. Not extremely optimistic.
Turf as a recruitment tool? If we have just that one thing over our Northern Neighbors, it will be worth the investment!
