AAW, that would never work. I could see the coin but couldn't distinguish between the two sides... AMD on the other hand would say something like "This is heads, this is tails, the visiting captain will make the call, and to clarify, if head Maiden wins, if tails, Lincolnton loses." I tell you, he does things like that.

Credit where it's due...Lincolnton made good adjustments. But yes, wet the bed too. Even with the adjustments...if we had the same tenacity second half we did in the first, we don't squander our lead away.
Now that we've showed our hands game 1, it'll be interesting to see what game 2 holds. Should be fireworks!

Maiden had a couple in-game injuries that were a factor, and the Wolves figured out a couple things, I assume around halftime, that worked. Not sure if those Maiden guys are back yet for this one. I hope both teams are close to full strength. I think we are healthy, but I worry that the week off could slow our momentum. When you have a nice win streak and build some confidence, you don’t need a week off.
Which was, you guessed it...The game before East Lincoln watered down the field and the Dawgs running game got washed away...

Kiddin' ? We're the restaurant capital of the world. In about a 3 mile stretch of Main street, only, you wouldn't believe how many there are. If eating establishments were divine, Lincolnton would be Vatican City; and here, the powers that be are very, very particular about sanitation. Even in the stadium, it would surprise you how clean the concession stands are, seriously !
Oh, and another thing, lay off roaches ! Had a dear friend that was one. The Creek, The Duck, and the Lion King all knows what I'm talking about.
As in many aspects of life....the answer lies in what's beneath the surface. Here's another: still waters run deep.
The creek bed topography and channel slope of both creeks, coupled with both incoming water's velocity and depth, created what you described above.
But sometimes it's best not to be technical...like a miracle from God, some things deserve to just be admired and appreciated without being splayed open and rummaged through.
I enjoyed a watering hole myself growing up...oddly enough, it was Pinch Gut Creek, the same creek I live next to today, just 3.25 miles downstream now.

I thought you might know and I was kind of prodding you for an answer, in a subtle way...A long time ago my father and me were going through Maiden. At the bottom of the hill between the two Carolina Mills he asked if I knew the name of the creek, and I didn't. He said that is "Pinch Gut," if he was correct about the location.
I knew Clark Creek came out of Catawba County, but didn't know its route. I did suspect it came from the Maiden area, reason being, I had a friend who was a Maiden alumna. She said her teacher would tell them to be sure and flush, that Lincolnton needed its water supply. I've drank bottled water ever since.

Since you so rarely offer congratulations to any team other than your own, why not congratulate us on doing something Maiden has never done, and that is we have beaten them both. No disrespect meant to the rest of our Blue Devil friends.
