It appears Mt. Pleasant struggles against good teams that can throw and catch. ie South Stanly.
Mt. Pleasant beat them 35-30 but the Rowdy Rebel Bulls threw the ball all over the place for almost 400 yards. Robinson lit them up too.
I will say…when Maiden played the Tigers a couple years ago….they were one hard hitting bunch. Very tough team. They always are.
West Lincoln will have their hands full this coming Friday night.

I believe a few guys quit after the Lincolnton game, but came back a couple days later. As far as I know, only one remains off the team, and he wasn’t one that helped the team at all.
Appreciate the kind gesture my friend. Not sure what the situation was. Told Wilson is keeping an eye on the situation but some players have moved on to winter sports. But I saw RS Centrals schedule, definitely wasn't an easy schedule either. Will probley go to see Lincolnton beat Maiden on Friday or maybe catch Bandys at CSD.

Nice work. I know these computers haven’t watched the teams play, but Bandys as a big favorite is a surprise to me.
I think it's believable because CSD has a bad schedule and Bandys has been through the CVAC gauntlet...however, I really think each game could go either way.
What I hope for is a CVAC sweep!
Finally got an answer. Per NC coaches... RS Central was chosen over Newton Conover for final brackets, strength of schedule RPI was a little tougher than ours. So NCHSAA made the decision. Wilson said we would have played them... Some of the players have moved on to winter sports.
Nc RPI was 0.43279
RS Central was 0.42740.
Newton had higher RPI and Newton by far had the harder schedule.
But did hear kids moved onto winter sports and didn't wanna continue the season.

I don't think the NCHSAA made this decision. SOS does not override the RPI.

We no longer have City Lunch hot dogs. I think City Lunch decided to give it up. I haven’t eaten at concessions this year, so I can’t even say what’s good and what isn’t. But it’s a bummer.
Burgers, Hot dogs, chicken tenders, Bologna sammiches, fries, rings, pizzas, nachos...all prepared before your eyes! Good stuff!
Usually start with a few hundred City Lunch dogs, prepared at the City Lunch, by the hands of the 3rd gen owner of the City Lunch... She's no longer onsite, but the food crew is pretty stout.
Visitor side will be taken care of.

Another thing the Maiden fans (and anyone else coming) do need to know is that we have new metal detectors and the process of getting in the gate is similar to Newton-Conover’s. It’s very slow. Get there early to avoid missing kickoff.

Side Note: GDevil, you mentioned the cold creek. About an eighth of a mile up this creek is the confluence of Walker Branch and Clarks Creek, creating three separate banks. Unlike the rest of the creek there isn't a tree canopy and the sun shines on the water making it feel noticeably more comfortable. Strangely enough, the confluence is still, and creates a natural pool with a sandy bottom. Kids from my side of town used it as a swimming hole for decades. Unfortunately, there was a drowning there in 1973 and don't think it was used as much after that.
I mention this since you being in a complicated field of work, would have studied hydrology. Always wondered why the water was not swift, there at that spot. The angle is a little less than 90°, and about a hundred feet downstream the water speeds up. Don't know what condition it is in now. Been a long time since I've been there and heard some people were living in that area, now, but I ramble on...We'll be looking for the Blue Devil nation, Friday night.
They'll probably let all the Maiden fans pass on by, but they're going to wand AMD. LOL

Flyrod, since you mentioned that, a couple of weeks ago at Maiden, I walked down to the fence and spoke with AMD. LTownWolves stopped by and another Wolves alumnus who had played on one of our teams that won a title. I introduced him and AMD, who is just a few years younger than the Lincolnton guy... They got to talking about still feeling the aches and pains from their days of playing on the line, that they still have, even now. Thought to myself, "That's dedication to two old established programs, and I doubt if either one of them regrets it." Now, there's my plug for AMD, for the week. Uh wait, I meant the month.
