Rock vs morehead pre

Could be an interesting game. All the old is gone. Rock has brought a good running game and if they want to win this one they will have to have a pound for pound style offense.Defense is going to have to tighten up and start playing in the first half of the game as well. . My predictions Rock wins by 14.

Clinton 64 Pender 13

Nothing that anyone did not expect Clinton wins in a blowout Dark horses did whatever they wanted on offense pretty much....only negatives 2 fumbles, and a couple procedure penalties......defense looked good besides one long pass......good to get back in the win column but it does not get any easier next week

A State Guard selection

I would Like to suggest Deanna , that Josh Worley , a 6ft. 3 in 265 lb. offense left guard for Lexington High school be on your watch list for all-state..... Big , strong, plays with great leverage and a smart kid that knows the position. He has been offensive lineman of the week twice already this year and his best game of the year may have come against North Davidson...... There are a lot of top lineman in the state and Josh Worley is one of them......

KM @ Burns

Late start on this thread...

Being the first of the CC rivalries, there should be more talk on this game. I believe both teams fans are holding their breath currently. Km on a short week and Burns hampered w/ injuries and Km being the toughest test to date for the Dogs. I dont know the status of some of our banged up guys but sure hope we get some important starters back, if not, the next man up will have to log heavy minutes and make some big plays. From what i have seen of KM, they are pretty big and athletic. Possibly their best team they have had in a few years? I like our Dogs chances at home and will need to score in the red zone and get some 3rd n longs and 3 n outs to help our thin team. If we can take care of the rock I think we can win this. KM is favored Id say and rightfully so, but you back a dog in the corner and he will defend himself...lets Go Dogs!

Chatham Central @ Albemarle

Both teams coming in at 0-4. One as expected the other not. When was the last time Albemarle started out 0-4. Dang if I can remember. Wondering if anybody knows the status of our qb? Understand he went down in the first quarter of the EM game. Albemarle should get their first win of the season fri night, but this has been a strange season. Will be interesting to see what offense we will run this week. Hope the rest of the team is healthy. Also the jv's play their first game thur. night at CC. Good luck.

Honda State Top 25 Ratings Week 5

These ratings are a composite of various factors. Points are awarded for each opponent, depending on classification and whether the game was won or lost. Points are also awarded for each win an opponent played on the schedule has earned. The point value awarded depends on whether the game was won or lost. Point values are awarded for whether a game was won at home or on the road. A weighted point value is awarded for point differential.

Finally, points are awarded for a team's ranking in the Maxpreps ratings, Carolina Preps Power Ranking and the A/P poll. Points are also awarded for a team's strength of schedule, as indicated in Maxpreps.

The total points are divided by the number of games played to arrive at the team's ratings average for that week. The teams are then ranked in order, according to their points average.

This week, Wake Forest maintains the top spot. Charlotte Catholic takes over at the second spot. There are three new teams in the top 25 this week, Wakefield, West Forsyth and Millbrook.
