Independence at Hough and Mallard Creek and Watauga are tough Second Round matchups for sure

Hough is just flat out the most well rounded team in 4A. If they lose it’ll be because of the usual collapse they have but this team is different.
The difference in the game tonight was simply the trenches. After they settled in it was evident that Hough’s size was starting to wear on them and would eventually be the difference maker in the game. I think we see a Hough/Weddington Western Final.
I agree I think we’ll see a hough/weddington finals this year. Hough’s dline got after it tonight. Completely shut down Jones and gave Little no time in the pocket. Just flat out relentless all night. I think their 21’ team was their best team, but this squad isn’t far off.

East Rutherford at Reidsville - Round 2

Sounds like ER played control of the game on the ground. I bet there was a significant difference in time of possession. ER just took the air out of the ball. Sounds like they play Eastern nc style
That my brother we can agree

No, they play Western nc style. You all are too predictable.

Hickory vs Statesville 2nd rd

We will play whomever is next. Just like last year, it's not what the competition does, but what you fail to do. Hickory's execution was spot on tonight and took whatever Statesville gave us. Run or pass, it was clicking.
They’ll be ready. We’d never doubt you or them on that. Crest and Hickory have met some in the past maybe not a lot. Think same conf at one time. Not sure what the series is between the two but I’d bet Crest has it by a few. When Crest was part of the NW4A they were only beat twice by a conf opponent and both times it was Freedom. Could be wrong or alittle off on that but I do know Freedok took em in 98 and

Let's be real, this is like a battle between a mountain lion and a mallard duck. We all know Watauga is used to that high altitude training and will have the stamina of a marathon runner. Meanwhile, Mallard Creek might need some oxygen tanks to keep up. So who's ready to see a tundra team take on a bunch of ducks?

I'm just kidding folks

Good luck to both teams and bundle up tight

4A Rd 2 Playoff scores 11/22

Final Hough 47 Independence 3. Hough may just be the real deal that will win it all.
47 unanswered. I believe I have seen every 4a west champ since 98 or 99. Hough just has that look. Big physical run game, big 6-3 wideout who is clearly a D1 kid and a great defense. Indy and Mallard Creek have scored 3 points total against them. I haven't seen Grimsley since last year and I know Weddington is loaded but my money is on Hough.

Indy looked like a middle school tonight.
