I’m a FH guy, UC guy second. I root for Monroe except when we play. That being said, FH is pretty good. Since they’ve stopped the QB by committee, Dilworth and the offense have taken major steps forward. If we do, in fact, meet in the Western Finals (which is two games away, anything can happen), it won’t be the same game as earlier in the season.

Then why can't the state change those credentials?

One of the biggest improvements is giving schools the ability to handle discipline as needed. The state really handcuffs this and is threatening certain school districts funding over the amount of suspensions. Bad behavior staying in classrooms is a huge reason why many folks leave.

We have to pay teachers better to keep them in the classroom and find incentives for them. Schools need adequate teachers to limit class size. Especially in higher grades.

Schools need nurses, counselors, among other services to take those stresses off teachers and administrators. A teacher shouldn't be doing concussion evaluations when a kid bumps their head.

As Infoman mentioned what Erwin does well WC has seen alot this year. Think the cold, mojo, homefield, and bigger oline will give WC issues. If Erwin can score early they can win. If they don't score early think WC defense takes over. They've given up 10 points sans the Hough game the last 7 games. That's elite regardless of competition. Hough loss by 26 doesn't seem as bad after seeing them in the playoffs.

The difference in this WC team and the last 2 that lost in the 3rd round is they can pass and the offense makes sense. They've played with an ath at qb. This year they have a qb at qb, and the offense isn't as discombobulated as prior years.

This game will either be a WC blowout or a close Erwin win IMHO. KM, and Crest had much better defenses than this Erwin team does. But don't underestimate the cold and homefield in games like these. It matters.

Unfortunately it is basketball season for some of us.

Heritage is well coached . And that Erwin win carries some weight. Erwin has size and speed but little ole heritage found away to beat them .

Those are their main guys I would say. But they have athletes and speed everywhere. They're a spread offense but balanced as far as how they attack. Defensively they can bring pressure because they have a good secondary that can matchup 1 on 1.

It's not an ideal matchup for Erwin - if they were a power run team they would have a better chance. But what they do WC has seen all season from an offensive standpoint. Greiner is a defensive coach who will bring heat off the edge. Have to have a plan for it or you will be behind the chains trying to throw it a lot.
