Shelby vs Community School of Davidson

Like to run, but throws lots of screen passes..
Qb has bout 1700 yard passing with 13 td passes with 15 int.
Shelbys front 7 will be to much to fast for them..
Great to be carrying on after thanksgiving

Watched a little bit of them on NFHS network.....Good size, we will be much faster..... Dont know much more on them, someone enlighten us
I wish I could tell you more but it sounds like they're a totally different team than what we played. We cruised past them 36-7 in our third game of the year. I thought their team last year was better. They are definitely well coached. They play sound fundamental football and don't make many mistakes. Not a lot of speed but decent size. Receivers don't drop many balls either but I'm basing that off last year's team because when we played them they didn't look good. Pretty sure they've fixed those issues. Shelby shouldn't have any problems but I never expected them to crush a sound Mount Pleasant team like they did.

I wouldn’t say MUCH faster. We’ve never lost to a team because they were faster than us… not saying we are faster than Shelby but if we lose, it won’t be because of that.
Could be I was watching the stream in half speed, not sure, Im old and cant see good but what I saw against Mt Pleasant made me go with much faster...... I could be wrong, wont be first time.....

ya'll said this about Reidsville last year, js
Anytime the word Shelby is mentioned its like @Chopper747 Radar goes off and he rolls up in a thread like this LMAO

I was surprised how easy they beat Mt Pleasant who just a couple weeks ago should have beat JM Robinson. JM this past Friday really took care of business with KM. Hopefully we don't look ahead because Community SD does not much history. The weather forecast is showing it to be really cold this Friday night.

Yeah, our defense has allowed 1 TD (the one vs Bandys was with all our back ups in with clock running 30 seconds left in game) in the last two games. Our offense is averaging 35 points a game. We aren’t going to be an easy win and I can assure you our kids will go down fighting. We are 7v7 monsters so pass happy teams are welcome - but luckily our run defense has been playing extremely well the last few games. I think we have a chance but will have to play perfect football.

Shelby Lion,
My mother, was a staunch wrestling fan. She hated Vince McMahon, and when he would come out to the ring, like in your GIF, she would sometimes comment, "I wish they'd let me hit him, just one time"... If you remember her, she was in her 90's, and weighed less than a hundred lbs... I'd look at her and think, "Yeah, I know that would knock the taste out of his mouth."

Good luck to the Golden Lions.

Yes sir, I remember your precious mother from the day we stopped in at your house years back.... Reminded me a bunch of my wifes grandmother...she was like 4 foot tall 100 lbs, but could get in your crawl in a second ha ha ha....

When I see that Vince walk I imagined ole Chopper putting his teeth in, grabbing his bifocals, and walking like that to get on one of us in his "bug league" ha ha.. He tickles me and I bet would fit right in at the lunch meetings .. Ha ha Then again he might be in prison, and only gets to use his phone enough online in trade for some ho hos and commissary .....

On film CSD. Defence looks good, offense looks to be pretty gpod too.
Shelby to me will be best team they have faced to date.
I do belive Shelbys speed will have factor, and our running game has started to get rolling now..
My pick is Shelby at home by 10-14 pts

Long time since I checked in on the golden scoop.

Thx

CSD by 7. Those guys must be doing something right to have won the first two games the way they have.
Sounds like WS wishful thinking. Shelby is tough. West will be tested from here on out. Nobody wants to go to Shelby in the playoffs! Just get your big boys ready for Monroe!

It sounds like they’ve addressed some of their weaknesses from last year, which is a testament to their coaching staff’s ability to adapt and improve...... I think

Last year we were 11-1 at this point heading into the 3rd round against Forest Hills we had already lost to previously in season. I wouldn’t say we are the same team as last year at all. But we have improved from regular season this year, mostly getting healthy outside of our starting running back.

Would be nice, but Mr. Magoo aint allowed to drive after dark...... One day though maybe he will grace us with his presence....
Speaking of Mr. Magoo, and since the season begins this week, one of the greatest cartoon movies I can remember was "Mr. Magoo's A Christmas Carol" (An animated version of Charles Dickens book, A Christmas Carol). If anyone has children or grandchildren, or is old enough to be in their second childhood, like me, would guarantee they/you will like it. The run time is about an hour; first ran in the early 60's, and it's in color... It teaches a great lesson.

I'm in my 50s and I definitely remember watching that. 😆 Great times!!

The film not only entertains but also imparts valuable lessons about compassion, redemption, and the importance of kindness—timeless themes that resonate with audiences of all ages.

CSD has some really good athletes and there is a reason they are in Round 3 of the playoffs.

#5 is their superstar and one of the better players in all of 2A
Freshman season:
Rushing: 13 - 47, 1 TD
Receiving: 21 - 286, 2 TDs

Sophomore season:
Rushing: 13 - 87, 0 TD
Receiving: 99 - 1,174, 16 TDs

Junior Season (Christian McCaffrey numbers):
Rushing: 183 - 1,195, 20 TDs
Receiving: 95 - 1,012, 12 TDs

Senior Season:
Rushing: 204 - 1,321, 17 TDs
Receiving: 53 - 660, 3 TDs

Appears he started this season at WR (first 7 games) and then switched to the primary RB in Week 8
Last 5 games rushing:
vs Corvian Community: 40 - 260, 1 TD
vs Christ the King: 41 - 204, 1 TD
vs Pine Lake Prep: 31 - 257, 3 TDs
vs Bandys: 22 - 163, 4 TDs
vs Mt. Pleasant: 30 - 233, 2 TDs

#5 aka Brandon Albert is a STUD. One of the best players in the state, regardless of classification.

Looking forward to playing against Shelby in round 3. Will be the last chance to play a great program before everyone goes off into 3A/4A/5A while we stay back in good ole 2A.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Sportsguy, ya'll better strap up! Shelby is a different level than almost all the other 2a teams (on top of that, you have to play at their place!). I know we have some past playoff history with you guys, bottomline CSD is more athletic than most people realize. Good luck Friday. EGFAN
