There are basically no Monroe fans that really talk it up and we had crickets in our topic weeks ago. It’s playoff football and anything can happen. I think Monroe is a fine football team and looks like a title contender. I had no clue until I saw it myself. I saw Shelby vs Burns and that’s it. Monroe looked better. That was weeks ago. Things can change fast. My honest take: Monroe cannot hurt themselves with penalties on the road and give Shelby breaks. Shelby’s secondary better wrap up. Monroe better have balance and be able to move the ball like they have all year. Special teams are crucial for both. Both teams can burn you with breakaway speed. The biggest topic for Shelby is the O-Line. I don’t give a damn how good they played the first 3 rounds. Monroe is fast off the ball and pressure on QB is a recipe for disaster with their secondary. If Shelby’s O Line can create enough time for something quick we will have a game. Leave the homerun throws for next week. Use the flats.

It’s pretty easy to do it when you can play you’re bench throughout the regular season and still go 10-0🌚 but no one is saying to the contrary about that and regardless this isn’t the past 7 years this is this year. NE has a rich history… of losing in the most important game.

There is a opportunity to put NC on the map nationally if they somehow pull off that win. But realistically they just need to be competitive and continue to gain continuity for the playoff run. Actually as I think about it this is a great prep for the WSC game in January.

Here’s a good write up from MaxPreps pertaining to our game against West Craven. I didn’t realize we ran for over 300 yards w/o our running back. Glad to get that game behind us and move on. It wasn’t one of our better offensive performances but our defense held it down. Go Eagles

Also most people have a charter near their schools. While we know a lottery does exist for charters, we also have never heard of an athlete being turned away EVER.
It is also my understanding that the lottery is only necessary when a certain grade level is at or near maximum students.
So please don’t play the “don’t know how to strap on their pads” card.

Going on the field to greet your child/family or friend is such a great experience. The raw emotions of the game are still fresh. It is a shame that this has to be restricted because parents cannot control their emotions and actions.

This happens too often. IIRC this almost happened at a Rolesville game a couple of years ago but it was the coaches' wives and family.

Recently, I was at an out of state game and NO ONE was allowed on the field before during and after the game. Its at that point. Though most parents are good people, they don't (and shouldn't have to police their own) there is too much precedent that as a whole, they cannot be trusted. Parents need to be put in check.

They just won 6 games, best season for them since 2017 when both West and East were good. 2018 both West and East fell of a cliff and were terrible. If Simmons predictions come true MC will be in a conference with Lee County, Union Pines, Western Harnett, Southern Lee, Asheboro, Seaforth and Jordan Matthews. They would be 6A and the last two teams would be 5A. If that conference holds they should be very competitive. LC is good but not great they finished 6-6, Southern Lee is not very good they hover around .500 or less most every year. Union Pines right would be top dog in that conference and they finished 6-5. Western Harnett is terrible 0-10 this year and its doubtful they improve much at all. Seaforth is 3-7 and didn't beat anyone any good and JM is 3-7 as well with 3 wins over horrible teams. So their conference ain't exactly hard. Pick up 4 winnable or 50-50 non-conference games and you could be looking at 6-7 wins a year, with a good team 8-9.
