Possibly, but I do know that in some instances that FB's numbers have increased as some kids play as kickers only.. also you have mentioned the only school that doesn't field a soccer team, in essence an outlier.

Ok sir. I think, for the most part, your posts have been just fine. Simply supportive of your teenagers without going overboard but…
9 starters? In one week? And they all made it back for playoffs? That’s almost miraculous territory.
Also most people have a charter near their schools. While we know a lottery does exist for charters, we also have never heard of an athlete being turned away EVER.
It is also my understanding that the lottery is only necessary when a certain grade level is at or near maximum students.
So please don’t play the “don’t know how to strap on their pads” card.

Your argument of the teams having approximately the same numbers is an indictment of your school and praise for the schools of the SMC. Let me explain. A school system that has larger numbers of students should in essence have a larger number of players. But this isn't always the case, why? For some reason the SMC schools are fostering a program that is conducive to students wanting to be part of a program that demands sacrifice and requires discipline. What is it about these schools that enables them to prepare and inspire young men who are willing to meet these standards. Whatever it is, they are successful at a much higher rate than the schools of which you support. Would you not agree that the biggest reward for most HS football players is the character that they mold. Thanks for providing evidence for all to see.

Second they beat Eastern Randolph 27-14 in the THIRD round last Friday

By the way, it is the same EXACT team. We had 9 starters (multiple 2 way players) go down week 6. We didn’t get any of them back until the first round of the playoffs against Draughn (we got 2 of them back). I wish we could just recruit kids!! That’d be awesome. The lottery tends to feed us a bunch of smart kids… and we can’t get them to figure out how to strap their shoulder pads. 😂😂
