Reality is that neither school really cares where they wind up. They both have proven they can compete. If being in 8A means their longest bus ride for an away game is 10 miles, I assure you both schools would prefer to be in 8A.

Maiden at Shelby (Round 2)

I feel like we're Stout on D. On average give up 14 points a game. We'll stop ya stop ya stop ya stop ya...give up big play. Bend but don't break when facing speed, make the big play when you need to. Might not always sack the QB but we get pressure...Shelby offense will be a tough row to hoe.

Independence at Hough and Mallard Creek and Watauga are tough Second Round matchups for sure

They do a ton of different stuff off that double wing base. You just don't see a ton of teams play under center but then they put #4 back there in shot gun and they spread you out and let him kind of pick his lane. It's real effective if your not disciplined.

The bigger head scratcher was when Creek was on offense. Indy just got athletes in space on those small DBs and killed them. MC just couldn't get the ball to Black enough and couldn't sustain offense.

Wautaga also plays very clean and stay in front of the chains. Always in 3rd and short and converted 3 or 4 big 4th downs to keep drives alive.

I think the real advantage for Watauga is a head coach who is a master at game planning. Habich finds the wrinkles a team and exploits tendencies. His system works so well because he practices perfect effort and discipline in assignments. Fundamentals are a huge component of high school football.

I believe Martin County will score, but if JK has the running game I've seen their posters describe then I'll take them for the win here. That loss to bertie is really surprising though tbh. The QB they have went to Rose last year but transfered back this year. He's pretty good and only a junior. I think his senior year he will be a handful.

Something snapped with Ayden during this season, and they have won games that are usually cake walks for the opposing teams. They've figured something out. It would seem weird to see AG best Holmes, but they've been having weird victories all year. I might as well pick our conference team in that one. AG by 5.

That's just wishful thinking on your part. Coach Reid and his staff have the boys and community sold on getting it done. BH football is probably here to stay for awhile.
