If West Charlotte was moved to 8a today how are they in 3a now?!?!

They were near the 4a line then but the free lunches and Wachovia points is why some smaller schools moved up to 4a and bigger schools went 3a. If it was numbers alone, they may have been in 4a. ACR and Asheville were 2 of the the schools that got moved up from 3a to 4a because of the points and less free lunches.
ACR is 3A

If West Charlotte was moved to 8a today how are they in 3a now?!?!

Yall need to stop with the free reduced lunch stuff. WC had around 1200 to 1400 students for most of the recent realignment periods. It had nothing to do with free/reduced lunch or Wachovia simply admin numbers. WC has been high low income since 1999 and they were 4A. They also had a new school built and their enrollment was capped for a few years. Since the opening of the new school their enrollment has grown tremendously the last 3 years. They also got 3 middle schools feeding them now. With the addition of another southern school it added students to WC to relieve crowding at the suburban schools.

-No one had any sympathy for WC when they played 4A with low 3A numbers for years. Besides football all the other sports have suffered being in 3A.
So you don’t know that the last realignment used free lunch and Wachovia cup points along with adm’s ? Because they did

Goobs lol is this NE jv team playing? Look extremely small and slow. Qb looks very timid and terrible spiral? Just asking for a friend, you really think this team is good lol Walker and freshwater teams would be at this NE team by 60+ and we both know that lol

Round 2: Rematch - Statesville at Hickory

No one disrespected Statesville. Show me..

In fact it was a Statesville fan that disrespected South Point , KM, Dudley and so on by saying Statesville that was the ONLY team that stood a chance against Hickory.

I personally think Statesville is a tough hardnosed team with good size and fantastic athletes and I think they would be a load for any team they play. I think Hickory is a fantastic team as well.

But no one disrespected Statesville. It was the other way around. All you have to do is read.
I didn't disrespect nobody... I'm sorry you took it that way...

Benjie was going to come back a few years ago but the school board messed that up. If you think that this flag football coach is that right guy for the job, you are clueless.
You’re mostly right about Benjie. But it was another board, not the school board, that nixed the opportunity. While I very much wanted Benjie at that point, I believe he would have followed through with his retirement plans and would only have coached for two years. So maybe not the best long term solution.

What the school board did screw up was the failure to consider Benjie for superintendent because he didn’t have central office experience and then hired the principal from Page…..who had no central office experience. That was expensive and started the non-stop process of revolving door superintendents.

Will Conferences not exist?

  • We are not sure that the NCHSAA will even keep conferences.Going to eight classifications makes sorting the leagues out very difficult. Some have speculated or encouraged the NCHSAA to mimic region formats used in other states.
    • On a related note, we are not sure what playoffs will look like with eight classifications. With much thinner fields of teams to choose from, some will hold the opinion that every team should make the playoffs. If that is the case, what purpose would traditional conferences hold? For this exercise, we are assuming that the style of conferences that we are used to will remain.
    • We do not know the answers to the following questions:
      • Will the NCHSAA emphasize the number of split conferences or try to minimize them?
      • What will be the minimum number of schools in a conference?
      • Will the association allow three different classifications into a split conference? Will there be a minimum number of teams from each classification in a split conference? Will they allow conferences to have one team from its own classification like East Carteret, Polk County, and Martin County are now?
  • One thing that we find likely is the removal of the permanent dividing line between the east and west regions. With eight classifications, the current dividing line would result in significant imbalance. Thus, it will likely be possible for conferences in the center part of the state to feature teams that will go west or east in the playoffs.

Yesterday afternoon put out half a bag of corn because my son should be coming home for Thanksgiving. Decided to climb stand after because it was close to 4:15 and figured what the heck. Around 5:15 bunch of thrashing and grunting across the branch. Kinda wide, young six comes sauntering my way. Goes up to just put out corn, which hasn’t been there in a year and starts his supper! Meanwhile grunting continues back where he came from. Nothing else came out before dark. Bet my corn is gone though 😂
I love being in the woods…

West Forsyth @ East Forsyth Round #2

East Forsyth played West Forsyth before Butler, and West put up 42pts on them, therefore they were the ones who exploited East...Good thing West gave Butler the playbook on East so the game could be close....Stick to Charlotte Football Nepsy! you can sit this one out and stop trying to be a "know it all" BTW, Cuthbertson had a good year and gave Weddington a game.
I know what I know. 🤷🏾‍♂️😂 I definitely don’t make crazy accusations like this. Also, West didn’t give Butler anything. Everybody looks great against inferior programs. Competition exploits weaknesses. EF should’ve served Popcorn 🍿 before the games with that schedule. I believe it matters, some people don’t. We’ll see what happens.

The CPC is the #1 Conference in NCHSAA Football with 6 Teams or more According to Simmons. 🤣

I’m a Homer also but come on man. Relax, some of you guys take this stuff way to serious.

North Lincoln/ West Henderson

West has had a really good run over the last 3 years, one of the best in the 3A West no doubt. This years teams is young and on top of that they lost their best player in the last week of the regular season due to injury according to the paper. I am not sure how well they match up against North Lincoln but West is well coached and disciplined. The drive up the mountains on a cold Friday night should make for a great playoff atmosphere.
Not sure of the series of these 2 schools but I do recall WH being 2A years ago and they met in 2006, they beat NL soundly. However NL was without star QB Trent Hopkins which made a monster difference

West Forsyth @ East Forsyth Round #2

How likely is it that West will be able to pass with the same effectiveness as the first matchup? Ask this question as I've only watched West play once, but there were quite a few highly difficult passes that were completed. Obviously some EF blown coverages resulted in some easy pass gains. Just an observation, but West looked more like a run heavy offense that got hot passing the ball versus their normal approach. Maybe they do that all the time, but just asking because I do not know.
West has thrown more this year than the past 6 years. They are very balanced and more likely to throw than run.
