Pulling for Cleveland County Friday - Go Chargers!
Left off strength of schedule Crest 73 Hickory 181Those numbers are VERY interesting. Aren't they?
Stober is a machineHickory’s QB Stober throws laser guided darts.
His completion percentage is 83.3 % so far this season.
Says a lot about his receiving corp as well.
I know Crest fans love good football…win or lose…they’re gonna enjoy watching this one!
EF’s QB could be next.Just seen where a 4 star player from Rolesville decommit from UNC following Mack Brown firing.
It's like they're all bass ackwards up there. It seem like playoffs use to be at 7:30. This gives time for teams to travel. When did they go 7. I agree they should open gates 1 hr 1/2 before kickoff time.
Many from that area was in thread stating that their conference was the strongest in 3A. So they feel they are battle tested. Top to bottom, I bet on the big south conference against theirs.Hickory just to let you folks know if any are any out there ,
WE COMIN!!!
We ain’t your conference opponent , we are coming to line em up and we expect to win , WE WANT ALL THE SMOKE !
CHARGER PRIDE!!
Heck some of those teams with a size advantage got absolutely wrecked like Chase for example no adaption needed lol

Well said my online friend well said. It’s all about the journey brother. Ain’t a contest. Your ability to get out there is all that’s important. When I was younger, believe it or not, it was all about getting the biggest deer I could find. I STAYED 20 feet up all season. Finally got THAT deer in 1995. Last deer I had mounted, ok truthfully have done three for my son but none for me, because I said had to be bigger than him. That competitive nature is great in sports when you’re young, not so much when you get older. After my little adventure at age 53 I am more about the experience than the success rate. Went three seasons a couple of years ago where I didn’t pull the trigger. Didn’t matter.
Have I harvested some good deer? Yes sir, many would love to do the same. Does it matter if I don’t? No sir because I get to breathe the outdoors in addition to hugging my children another day.
Those are the important things in life, at least to me.
I don't get this argument. Watching them every week, we are a better overall team right now than we were last year. We are absolutely missing those 3 WR we had last year, but we couldn't stop anybody. This defense is night and day better than last years. Last year we had a shootout every week and just hope we just outscored everybody. If I had to bet on either one last year head to head....definitely would have bet on Crest.
With that said - they've got the same crew plus some new ones and yall have a lot of new faces playing (including the new ones). Last year would've been a much safer bet to take Crest even though Crest has a chance this year, too.

Went three seasons a couple of years ago where I didn’t pull the trigger. Didn’t matter.Failed to get out of bed this morning in time to hunt. Was supposed to wake at 4 to be in the tree by 5:45. Been a tough year for some reason and I have been a little down. Questioning my ability as a deer hunter as if that’s what defines me. I understand that in 10 seconds my whole season could turn around. Like most of you, I spend a lot of time and effort chasing these antlered guys.
Decided that I will take the few days off and try to get this thing back into perspective. Rather than lament my poor season, I am choosing to put it in perspective. I am a lucky man, healthy, great family and just over all blessed.
A little ashamed I have let it get the best of me. Need to let the pursuit be the reward any success be a bonus.
Please don’t speak of such things…. And it was 57-10 and we were 13-0 and ranked number 1 in nc all year and south point was number 2 lolThe weather conditions are insignificant to me. SP was in Asheville in 2003. Weather was expected to be an issue with snow in the forecast. The thought was that SP wouldn't handle the cold as well as the Cougars. However SP beat them 51-10 in a snow storm. It's been relatively warm this year. I don't think the cold will effect one team more than the other. I do think home field advantage will help Erwin.
Heck some of those teams with a size advantage got absolutely wrecked like Chase for example no adaption needed lolWhen Heritage played against teams with a size advantage this season, they have showcased the ability to adapt and execute in their game plan effectively. I doubt EW will be able to match that level of execution. Their close calls in previous games might indicate a vulnerability that Heritage could take advantage of.
So glad you got in the woods for a little bit. And got to show off a doe! Seems like most of us “serious” deer hunters take for granted that the success rate for most people is not all that high. It all hit home for me when, in a community south of here where dog hunting is legal, we were helping a landowner thin out some a few years ago. Anyway four does were jumped and ended up heading straight to me. I was lucky enough to get three. Was mad at myself for not getting the fourth when a young hunter came up to me and said congratulations. That person had never killed a deer before. That shined a new light on things for me.Well that was interesting. Had about 2 hours yesterday that I could sneak off and get in the woods. Get to favorite spot and Landowner stops me, which is normal. Tells me about all the deer he is seeing. He then says hey I need to see a doe when you leave. So while unplanned and really not what I would normally do during the peak of the rut. I was able to show him a doe when I left:
But still thankful for the opportunity and blessed to provide some good eating to some folks who could use the meat.
Now to see if I can go back and see what I am after.
Go Mountaineers
If they played 10 times, that might be the average. Catholic's style, approach and discipline are a pain in the ass for any team to prepare for. If they have enough horses to execute their game plan, they could frustrate Grimsley and make the one game they play very interesting. Grimsley definitely has the horses.I like Grimsley by 3 TDs
That's true. It might affect WC but it's also going to slow down Erwin's passing attack which is their bread and butter. I will say that I don't remember going to any games in the 20's which is predicted Friday night. It's gonna suck to be honest! The weather conditions are insignificant to me.
