Pisgah had zero penalties last night. Zero. None. That's tremendous discipline for a group of 14/15 year olds. Well done.

Amazing but in the end it didn't matter. Of course Pisgah's sideline got in their guy's ear pretty quick last night.

Highlight of the night was The Former Volunteer Assistant Who Shall Not Be Named coming over to our sideline to genuflect while the trainers and Chappell attended to #13. Student section started chanting "Daddy's Boy".

Time for the greatest high school football rivalry in the state. This is the game Haywood County looks to each year. The only game some will see all year or care about. It's been that way forever.Great atmosphere record crowd and record half and half.Forget the records forget who you have played it's Pisgah and Tuscola. That's all that matters.
When these kids are grown men with family they will remember this game and will never forget the score. In later years they will be the fans pulling for the next generation of Bears and Mounties. They will give it their all and win or lose they know they did their best.
You walk into the stadium and if you don't get goosebumps then you are not a real high school football fan.Come early if you want a seat or a place on the fence.
"Go Bears'

Great post. That pretty much sums it up. What makes this game so special is that both schools have put some really bad teams on the field (at the same time) and the atmosphere is still great and the energy is great. That is what defines a great rivalry.
Remember to bring some canned food; lots of people in our county in need of it.

Now that's what high school football is all about! TWC should have televised it!

Tuscola fans SOOOOOO confident........As Chris Berman says, THATS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAME !

The biggest takeaway from this game was that the half and half winner won over $19,000. That's insane.
